Ran Honglin introduced that the bronze mask is a typical artifact in the Sanxingdui culture, born from the human figure, in general, it should be an artifact placed in the temple for people to worship. Zhu Yarong told reporters that in November 2021, the Guanghan Sanxingdui Museum received a notice from the State Administration of Cultural Heritage that in order to commemorate the centenary of the birth of modern Chinese archaeology, the Central Radio and Television Station invited the State Administration of Cultural Heritage to cooperate in setting up a special link of "cultural relics display" at the 2022 Spring Festival Gala to display the fruitful results of archaeological work in recent years represented by Sanxingdui cultural relics.
To be able to board the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, sanxingdui museum is very excited. But the question is, by the end of 2021, sanxingdui six sacrifice pits have unearthed more than 10,000 cultural relics, which one should be chosen as a representative?
After joint consultation with the Sichuan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, the museum preliminarily selected three cultural relics: a large bronze mask, a statue of the top zun and a square statue with a round mouth. "The reason why the bronze mask was chosen in the end is because this cultural relic is more representative of Sanxingdui, and its volume is also very large, which is very visually impactful." Customized parcels and special car transportation to ensure safe arrival in Beijing
But the large volume also means that transportation is difficult. Under the guidance of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage and the Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics, the Sichuan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and the Sanxingdui Museum, together with the professional cultural relics transportation and exhibition units, have drawn up business backbones, formed a special work class, accurately formulated a set of cultural relics safety guarantee programs, and carefully organized the implementation of cultural relics protection, cultural relics transportation, exhibition operations and other work.
"We have carried out some reinforcement protection and rust removal treatment of cultural relics in the early stage. According to the requirements of various indicators such as the shape, size, shockproof, temperature and humidity of cultural relics, a special packaging and transportation box is tailored for cultural relics, and professional cultural relics transport vehicles with constant temperature and humidity are used for transportation. Zhu Yarong told reporters that under the premise of ensuring that nothing is lost, the transport vehicle departed from Guanghan on January 22 and arrived in Beijing smoothly on the evening of the 24th.
The Spring Festival Gala rehearsal uses 3D printed models
After the large bronze mask arrived in Beijing, it was not directly sent to the CCTV Spring Festival Gala site, but was stored in the cultural relics warehouse of the Lu Xun Museum in Beijing, which has the conditions for the preservation of cultural relics. Zhu Yarong revealed a detail to reporters, because the Spring Festival Gala will experience several times of large row before the official live broadcast, in order to ensure the safety of cultural relics, in advance through 3D printing technology to make a model of the same proportion as the bronze mask, "the rehearsal is the model rehearsal, and the last live broadcast is the real cultural relics." ”
