Tesla voluntarily recalled some Model 3 models for trunk wiring harness inspections and repairs

Webmaster's Home (ChinaZ.com) January 29 News: Tesla's official website released a message that it has decided to voluntarily recall some Model3 vehicles, and the vehicles in this recall are some imported Models 3 from October 4, 2018 to November 20, 2019, and some domestic Model 3s with production dates from October 14, 2019 to December 27, 2020.

Tesla said that the trunk cover of the vehicle within the scope of this recall may cause excessive wear of the trunk wiring harness after a long period of repeated opening and closing. If this wear causes the core separation of the coaxial cable, it may cause the reversing image to not work properly, thus affecting the driver's field of vision when reversing, and in extreme cases, it will increase the risk of collision when reversing, and there is a safety hazard.

Tesla has not yet received reports of injuries or collisions that occurred under such circumstances.

Now some car owners have received a reminder message from Tesla, and will arrange for the owner to conduct testing and repairs.
