Shenyang, 29 Jan (China News Network) -- China's ancient sports culture has a long history and has a special value in the process of China's historical development. On the 29th, the "Dream of the Winter Olympics - Special Exhibition of Winter Scene Paintings and Sports Cultural Relics" was launched at the Liaoning Provincial Museum.

Hosted by Liaoning Provincial Culture and Performing Arts Group (Liaoning Provincial Public Cultural Service Center) and organized by Liaoning Provincial Museum and Shenyang Palace Museum, the exhibition aims to promote the organic combination of cultural heritage and Winter Olympic events, spread Chinese civilization, and help Beijing Winter Olympics.

Chinese paintings are rich in art, and winter painting is an important part of it. In winter, the mountains and rivers are covered with snow, and the cold forest is strong; the "three friends of the cold years" stand proudly in the snow and bloom in the frost; when the twilight is cold, everything is silent, and the birds are dormant, which is pitiful. Since ancient times, the mountains, flowers, birds, etc. related to winter have been the objects of song and chanting of the rioting inkers, and the painters of the past have also used full brush and ink to create a picture of affection.

Ancient Chinese sports culture has a long history, ancient sports activities such as polo, archery, hunting, equestrianism, chess, etc., some continue to this day, some have been replaced by other forms, its cultural relics are an important physical basis for us to understand the ancient sports culture form, but also an important way to deepen the understanding of China's traditional cultural heritage and its connotation.

On the same day, the Liaoning Provincial Museum exhibited cultural relics such as the Northern Song Dynasty Li Gonglin (Chuan) Ming Emperor Batting Scroll, the Ming Dynasty Qianyu Snow Stack Picture Scroll, and the Qingzhang Zong Cangxuexi Sail Shadow Picture Scroll, allowing visitors to glimpse the charm of the combination of winter scenery and sports events in the eyes of the ancients.

The relevant person in charge of the Liaoning Provincial Museum said that in 2022, it will usher in the Beijing Winter Olympics, which has attracted worldwide attention. The Beijing Winter Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games are major landmark events at important historical nodes in China, as well as important opportunities to show the national image, promote national development and invigorate the national spirit. Culture is an important part of the Beijing Winter Olympics.

It is reported that the exhibition will last until March 27, 2022. (End)
