Mercedes-Benz recalled more than 400 imported and domestically produced CLA, C-class and E-class vehicles

On January 27, Zhichepai learned from the State Administration for Market Regulation that Mercedes-Benz and Beijing Benz decided to recall some imported and domestically produced cars.

Mercedes-Benz recalled more than 400 imported and domestically produced CLA, C-class and E-class vehicles

Mercedes-Benz CLA

The first is the recall of some imported CLA vehicles with production dates between June 25, 2020 and July 4, 2020, for a total of 41 units. Due to production deviations in these vehicles, the power line connectors of the electric power steering power system can be contaminated with hot melt adhesive. The aging effect of hot melt adhesive will lead to a reduction in the fixing force of the power supply line connector of the electric steering power system, resulting in loose joint connections, and in extreme cases, it may cause the power supply of the electric power steering power system to be interrupted, affecting the function of the power steering assistance system. After the recall, Mercedes-Benz will inspect the power line connectors of the vehicle's electric power steering power system free of charge and clean them if they have been contaminated.

It also recalled 385 imported and domestically produced C-class and E-class vehicles with air suspensions partially installed between April 7, 2015 and January 23, 2017, the production date. This time is because the pressure relief valve of some vehicle air suspension compressors may be stuck due to corrosion, resulting in the inability to adjust the horizontal height of the vehicle as expected, and the body may be stuck at a certain height of the suspension that cannot be reduced, which does not meet the relevant requirements of the relevant national mandatory standards for vehicle air suspension, and there are safety hazards. After the recall, Mercedes-Benz will replace the improved air suspension compressor free of charge.
