Sydney, December 16 (Xinhua) -- The exhibition of winning works of the "Children's Heart Painting Love" Australian International Youth Painting Competition opened on the 15th at the Sydney Chinese Cultural Center, and the works exhibited covered forest fire, anti-epidemic, environmental protection and other themes, of which "Special Mission" created with the theme of anti-epidemic was awarded the special prize.
With the theme of "Caring for Nature, Cherishing Family", this exhibition features a total of 22 award-winning works. The exhibited works depict realistic themes such as forest fires, anti-epidemic and environmental protection, and the vivid images and works full of childlike fun show the solid artistic skills and rich artistic expression of Chinese and Australian teenagers.
Xiao Xiayong, director of the Sydney Chinese Cultural Centre and China Tourism Office in Sydney, said at the opening ceremony of the exhibition that the award-winning works on display fully demonstrated the concern and thinking of Chinese and Australian teenagers about social hotspots such as fighting the epidemic and forest fire disasters, and reflected the sense of social responsibility of today's young people.
The exhibition, co-organised by the Chinese Cultural Centre in Sydney and New Express Media Australia, will run until 30 December.
