The documentary began filming in 1964 and did not end until 2015, after 49 years, the BBC director recorded the lives of 14 children from different classes.
The results didn't differ much from the director's initial predictions, and by the time the documentary was done, the circumstances of most children were not much different from when they were born.
Children born into high-society families lead a prosperous life, work decently, and have a happy family.
And those children who were originally born in the bottom of the family, there is no one who can break through the class restrictions, and when they grow up, they still live a poor life and do the work at the bottom.

Life planning

The book "Life Forward" also mentions the importance of life planning for a person's life. The author Michael mentioned in the book that everyone will play different roles in society at different times of growth, and it is inevitable that they will encounter some difficulties and setbacks in the process of life, but individuals should not give up their lives because of these difficulties.
People need to constantly recognize themselves from confusion and frustration and constantly improve themselves. Moreover, people should plan their lives in advance to counter the unknowns in life.
Most children born into the underclass lack this kind of life planning, and their parents will not tell them what kind of person they should become, nor will they give any useful advice for their lives.
Such children lack purpose in life. Many children drop out of school early in order to earn money, so that their abilities are not enough to support them to break through class barriers and become successful people.
Personal opportunity
In this documentary, there is also a protagonist named Nick, who was born in the lower class but became a university professor, and Nick's success is related to his own efforts, but also because he seized an opportunity to change his life, and this opportunity is to learn.
Children of the lower classes do not receive the elite education of high society, and many children will voluntarily give up the opportunity to learn, learning may not bring immediate results to a person, but learning can ensure that a person can become better and better.
Receiving education and acquiring more knowledge can not only enhance an individual's ability, but also enable a person to broaden his horizons and make a person's heart rich. This helps individuals to have a long-term perspective and be able to think about the longer term.
If even the opportunity to study is given up, then this person will certainly not be able to break through the obstacles of class, and will only live in the original lower class and live a poor life for the rest of his life.
In fact, there is no standard answer in life, everyone's environment and growth experience are also different, and the ability of individuals is the most important factor affecting a person's life trajectory.
