Tesla's fourth-quarter revenue of $17.7 billion net profit surged 760% year-on-year

On January 27, Zhichepai learned that Tesla announced the fourth quarter and full year of fiscal 2021. Tesla's total revenue in the fourth quarter was $17.719 billion, up 65% from $10.744 billion in the same period last year; net profit was $2.343 billion, compared to $296 million in the same period last year, a significant increase; and net profit attributable to common shareholders was $2.321 billion, up 760% compared to $270 million in the same period last year.

In addition, Tesla's total revenue from tesla's automotive business in the fourth quarter was $15.967 billion, up significantly from $9.314 billion in the same period last year. Currently, Tesla has nearly 60,000 beta fully autonomous vehicles in the U.S., and in the coming years, Tesla expects an average annual growth rate of 50% in vehicle deliveries.

It is worth mentioning that at the beginning of this month, Tesla announced the delivery volume for the fourth quarter of 2021 and the delivery of the whole year last year. Among them, Tesla produced a total of 305,840 cars and delivered 308,600 vehicles in the fourth quarter of 2021; from the perspective of the whole year of 2021, Tesla produced 930422 cars and delivered 936172 cars; of which the production of Model S and Model X models was 24,390 units and the delivery volume was 24,964; the production of Model 3 and Model Y was 906032 and the delivery volume was 911208.
