The first complete technology verification scheme of the domestic autonomous intelligent needleless vaccine injection robot was recently released in Shanghai, led by a team led by Qi Peng, associate professor of Tongji University, and jointly developed by Shanghai Feixi Robot Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing Kuaishuer Medical Technology Co., Ltd. and China Cardiovascular Doctor Innovation Club. The robot can automatically find the position of the vaccine injection on the shoulder of the person, and adopt the needleless injection method to achieve the whole unmanned vaccine injection.
Machine vision automatically identifies the designated vaccination position on the person and locates the muscle part that needs to be needled; the multi-degree-of-freedom robotic arm adapts to complete the flexible automatic operation; the needle-free injection can inject the liquid into the muscle through the high-pressure water column to complete the vaccine injection process... A series of flexible and precise robot injection operations, joint research from clinicians, university research teams, and artificial intelligence companies.
How does an automated vaccine injection robot identify the specified vaccine injection location on a person? Feixi technology researchers told reporters that there is a set of human body three-dimensional model recognition algorithms behind this. Photographing the human body with a simple 3D point cloud camera quickly and automatically fits a complete 3D model of the human body. The mannequin consists of thousands of feature points, each of which corresponds to a specific part of the human body. By specifying this feature point or collection of feature points, the robot can quickly and accurately locate the human vaccination site.
"After obtaining the spatial posture information of the vaccine injection site, the adaptive robotic arm can move to the vicinity of the injection site, and apply a precise force control algorithm to ensure that the end of the needleless syringe is closely related to the human skin and perpendicular to the human skin surface, improving the injection effect, reducing the pain experience, and effectively solving the difficulty of human surface uncertainty." What is more interesting is that during the injection process, the robotic arm can precisely control the contact force and pressure pressure with the surface of human skin to ensure the safety of the injection process. Moreover, the robot injection water column is very fine, so it is almost painless; since there is no needle, the trauma and cross-infection caused by the needle can also be avoided.
