It is mounted on the top front end of Unigo or B1 robots — or "other mobile robots" — and works with interchangeable actuator tools such as two-finger pliers, three-finger grippers, or double suction cup attachments. These tools enable it to do things like pick up objects, open doors, and install or remove screws.

The Z1 picker actually comes in two models: Air and Pro. Both have six degrees of freedom, collision detection, compatibility with the Ubuntu operating system, and the ability to learn tasks by completing necessary actions through physical instruction.
