Foreword: Xi'an, Shaanxi Is really a place of outstanding people, in this land has experienced the change of many dynasties, and because of this, it has the title of the ancient capital of 13 dynasties. There are also many tombs unearthed here, and during the excavation process, some tombs have also been discovered and stolen by tomb thieves because of their age.

The mounds found to be ancient tombs
In Pangliu Village, Dazhao Township, Xi'an, there is an unusually shaped mound, and many villagers are accustomed to this mound. But even so, the villagers knew it was supposed to be an ancient tomb. With the passage of time, this ancient tomb has become more and more mysterious.
Because the technical means are not very mature, archaeologists have not excavated the tomb until a group of lawless tomb robbers have destroyed the tomb. They used explosives to steal the tomb, which also greatly damaged the structure of the tomb. In order to better complete the excavation of the tomb, the experts decided to carry out excavation after 4 years of protection of the tomb.
Very heart-wrenching things were also found during the excavation. There are many robbery holes in this ancient tomb, and many things of historical research value in the tomb have been looted, even including the tomb owner's stone rafters, because the tomb owner's body is directly placed on the ground, which means that the tomb owner's coffin has also been stolen by tomb thieves.
Recovered 27 tons of artifacts
This discovery also shocked the experts, and the tomb robbers took such a big risk to remove the stone rafters, which shows that the tomb owner's stone rafters are very valuable. The cultural relics agency and the public security organs jointly launched an investigation into the tomb robbers, and it was not until 2010 that the stone rafters were found, and the American antique dealers were willing to return the stone rafters, and the entire stone rafters weighed 27 tons.
The whole stone rafter is composed of stone, using three-dimensional bottom relief method, there are some carvings inside and outside it, and the whole is of great historical research value. Among the Tang Dynasty tombs excavated on the mainland, it is the largest, and it is well preserved, and the color is also very beautiful, and because of this, the stone rafters have been identified as national first-class cultural relics.
Who the owner of the tomb really is
In fact, for this ancient tomb, experts believe that the specifications are very high, because the number of patios has reached 7, and the remaining cultural relics in the current tomb are not very compatible with the tomb of the tomb owner. Therefore, it is difficult to judge the true identity of the owner of the tomb, when an old farmer in the village found an expert and said that he might know who the owner of the tomb was.
After that, the old farmer led the experts to another place, where there was a stone stele in the more remote place. The age of this stele is also very old, because the age also makes it difficult to judge the writing on the stele. Experts urgently repaired the stone stele, and also found the identity of the owner of the tomb, which turned out to be Wu Huifei of the Tang Dynasty.
Concubine Wu was the favorite concubine of Tang Xuanzong, because her father died early, which also allowed her to be raised in the palace at a young age and received the protection of Wu Zetian. She was only 40 years old when she died, and was posthumously crowned empress after her death, so the entire funeral specifications were still very high. This also shows that the owner of the tomb enjoyed extremely high treatment after her death, especially the stone rafters at the time of her death were also carved by many skilled craftsmen, and they are still very colorful today.
To sum up: Historical records record that Wu Huifei was buried in Jingling after her death, and there has been a lot of controversy about the location of Jingling, but the discovery of this tomb has also directly ended this more than 1,000-year controversy, so that the location of Jingling has been settled. The research and historical value of Wu Huifei stone rafters are very high, and the discovery of stone rafters also allows archaeologists to better study Tang Dynasty culture, which has epoch-making significance for the study of Tang Dynasty history.
