The Hunan Youth Symphony Orchestra (YHO) was founded in February 2015. At the beginning of the establishment, 197 outstanding students from all over the province enrolled, with an average age of 13 years old, the youngest was only 9 years old, and 72 people were admitted after almost rigorous selection. YHO is positioned as a pure public welfare, not only does not charge any fees, but also provides the best teachers of the Hunan Symphony Orchestra (now Changsha Symphony Orchestra) to escort them. In the past seven years, in addition to the provincial tour, YHO has also successfully visited the United States, Russia, Taiwan, Beijing, Shanghai and other places, holding nearly 100 special concerts. YHO was also mentored by zheng Xiaoying, Shao En, Yu Hai, Fan Tao, Xiao Ming, Nikula and many other famous conductors. The Hunan Chinese Orchestra established the Hunan Youth Chinese Orchestra in 2020.
