During the Kangxi Dynasty of the Qing Dynasty, there was a Xiucai named Peng Haogu in Laizhou, Shandong, whose family conditions were very good, and in order to study with peace of mind, he lived alone in a villa. Although this villa is also in Laizhou, it is some distance away from the Peng family.

Peng Haogu was so intoxicated with reading that he accidentally arrived at the Mid-Autumn Festival and forgot to go home to reunite with his family. As the saying goes, every festive season, think of relatives, there are no relatives and friends near the villa, only a Xiucai surnamed Qiu is also a reader, and Peng Haogu walks around a little.
But Peng Haogu was very dismissive of Qiu Xiucai's conduct, so he hated him a little from the bottom of his heart. At dusk, seeing a bright moon rising, there was not even a person around to speak, so he wrote an invitation to arrange for the servants to invite Qiu Xiu to come and drink.
Qiu Xiucai soon came, and the two of them enjoyed the moon while drinking, but they were also happy. Suddenly, there was another knock on the door outside, and when the book boy opened the door, he saw that it was a strange student, saying that he had come to visit the master.
Peng Haogu was always hospitable, coupled with the festive mood, and immediately invited him to come in for a drink.
After the strange scholar sat down, he said that his ancestral home was Guangling, and peng Haogu was still the same surname, named Haiqiu. Because it is too boring in the hotel, I heard that only you are the most elegant and hospitable nearby, so you are uninvited.
Peng Haogu saw that although the other party was simply dressed, his speech and demeanor were very elegant, and he hurriedly said that he was fortunate to know the distinguished guest for three lifetimes, and immediately invited Peng Haiqiu to take a seat.
The three of them pushed the cup, and Peng Haiqiu seemed to despise Qiu Xiucai, and whenever Qiu Xiucai wanted to get close to him, he always interrupted his words without a trace. Peng Haogu's heart was even more painful, and his heart was refreshed, so he sang Li Bai's "Fufeng Haoshi Song".
After Peng Haiqiu listened, he was greatly impressed by Peng Haogu's singing, saying that he did not understand music, and could only find someone to sing on his behalf, and asked the servant to open the door, saying that the person he invited was already waiting outside the door.
When the servant opened the door, there stood a beautiful woman in a willow-yellow dress, who looked no more than fifteen or sixteen years old, and was mostly very beautiful, almost suspecting that it was a fairy in the middle of the moon.
Peng Haiqiu stepped forward to greet the beautiful woman, and said thank you for coming thousands of miles away. Peng Haogu wondered in his heart, people are obviously outside the door, why do they say that they are not far away?
Peng Haiqiu also seemed to see the master's doubts, saying that the beautiful woman in front of her was named Juanniang, from hangzhou's West Lake, and was specially invited by herself. Turning his head and asking Juanniang to sing a song "Bo Xinglang", he took out a green jade flute from his sleeve and blew it up, which was considered to be an accompaniment to Juanniang.
Peng Haogu was impressed by Juanniang's song and dance, and even more admired Peng Haiqiu's immortal spells, from Hangzhou West Lake to Laizhou, Shandong Province, more than a thousand miles, and even invited in a moment.
Peng Haiqiu was not modest, saying that this was just a small skill of carving insects. After drinking a few more glasses of wine, Peng Haiqiu said to Peng Haogu, the moonlight of the West Lake tonight is very beautiful, would you like to visit with me?
Of course, Peng Haogu was willing, so Peng Haiqiu raised his hand and made a move into the air, shouting loudly, "Boat rowing over." Sure enough, a colorful boat fell from the clouds, and Peng Haiqiu boarded the boat with Peng Haogu, Qiu Xiucai and Juan Niang, and the boat rowed its oars, and the boat rose into the air.
Peng Haogu cried out in his heart, only to see the white clouds around him, as if he were in a fairyland. I was in a daze, I heard the sound of water in my ears, and when I looked closely, the boat was already on the lake, and it was clear that it had reached the West Lake.
Peng Haiqiu instructed the ship to paddle around the lake at will, and the three of them put wine and vegetables on the bow of the boat, while drinking wine, while enjoying the beautiful scenery under the moon in the West Lake, Juan Niang also sang a few small songs next to it, which was simply pleasant.
Suddenly, a building boat gradually approached, and Peng Haiqiu said to Juanniang, you should go back. Juan Niang lowered her head and did not speak, but her beautiful eyes contained emotions, and her eyes had been lingering on Peng Haogu, and she was obviously very fond of him.
Peng Haogu originally had a good feeling for Juanniang, and when he saw this scene, he quickly asked Juanniang when she would be able to meet again. Juan Niang was generous, saying that she lived nearby, you can find someone to inquire about it, and when she left, she gave Peng Haogu a white handkerchief and agreed to meet again after three years.
After saying this, Peng Haiqiu took Juanniang's hand and pushed it, and Juanniang flew into the cabin of the building ship, only to hear someone in the building ship shouting "Juanniang woke up."
As soon as Juan Niang left, Peng Haogu had no intention of continuing to visit the West Lake, so he said that he wanted to go ashore alone.
After walking for about a mile, I heard Peng Haiqiu calling his name behind me, and when I turned my head, Peng Haiqiu led a horse to catch up, saying that it was almost dawn, and you rode this horse home. After saying this, Peng Haiqiu turned around and went, without explaining where Qiu Xiucai had gone.
Peng Haogu rode back to the place where he came ashore, the boat was gone, Peng Haiqiu was nowhere to be seen, and as for Qiu Xiucai, his whereabouts were unknown. Fortunately, there was a fold on the saddle, and there were dozens of taels of silver in it, so that there was no coil to go home.
Therefore, Peng Haogu rode all the way north on horseback, and it took half a month to return to his hometown in Laizhou.
The people of the Peng family were overjoyed to see their son return, it turned out that when Peng Haogu was on the boat at night, the servants watched their group fly up into the sky, and they returned home overnight to tell the old master that the young master had ascended to heaven. The family thought that Peng Haogu was gone, and they did not expect to return intact after half a month, so they asked him where he had gone.
Peng Haogu then told the story of the past half a month, and said that the horse he rode back was outside the door and let the servants pull in.
But the servants went out to see where there were horses, only Qiu Xiu was tied to the manger by a rope, his face was like dead ash, and everyone could not ask anything, because he had become dumb.
Seeing Qiu Xiucai like this, Peng Haogu couldn't bear it, helped him to the bed, let people pour him some ginger soup, and slowly turned angry.
It wasn't until the middle of the night that Qiu Xiu grunted in his stomach, and even pulled down a string of horse dung eggs, slowly able to eat something, and three days later he could speak. It turned out that the horse that Peng Haogu rode back was actually Changed by Qiu Xiucai, and the initiator was of course that Peng Haiqiu.
Peng Haogu has been at home ever since, but he always can't forget Juanniang, and often takes out the handkerchief that Juanniang gave him to touch.
Three years later, Peng Haogu's brother-in-law became the prefect of Yangzhou, Peng Haogu went to visit, there was a local Liang Gongzi, learned that the prefect's brother-in-law came, specially invited Peng Haogu to drink.
After Peng Haogu arrived, Liang Gongzi toasted a glass of wine and turned back to ask the servant why Juan Niang had not yet arrived, and the servant said that Juan Niang was ill. When Gongzi Liang heard this, he was furious and ordered his servants to tie up Juanniang.
Not long after, the servant did indeed push a beautiful woman up to the lobby, and Peng Haogu fixed his eyes on it, and it turned out to be the Juan Niang he knew. Liang Gongzi loudly reprimanded Juanniang for not knowing how to advance or retreat, and neglected the distinguished guests. Of course, Peng Haogu interceded on his behalf, saying that he and she were old acquaintances, and please forgive.
Peng Haogu walked over to Juan Niang and asked softly: Do you remember "Bo Xinglang Song"? Juan Niang was shocked and thought that this song had not been sung for a long time, why did this person know the title of the song?
After the song was sung, Peng Haogu took out the handkerchief from his arms, and JuanNiang knew that it was her own thing at a glance, and suddenly remembered a lot of past events, including the three-year covenant.
Therefore, Peng Haogu asked his brother-in-law to come forward and redeem Juanniang from Gongzi Liang, and took him back to his hometown in Laizhou.
What was even stranger was that Juan Niang was very familiar with Peng Haogu's villa where he was studying, and even if she came for the first time, she said that she had been drinking and singing here one night three years ago.
