More than two years of "mask life" disrupted the rhythm of many family weekend trips, such as my home, it is very typical - the son is 9 years old to attend primary school, the mother is a teacher, the school epidemic prevention requirements are more stringent, so that for a long time, they can only open the "snail" mode, the son's happiness has become a bunch of cold toys.
However, at the end of this term, my son did well in the exam, and we decided to take him on a long-lost weekend family trip - to go to the off-road park to fly. Accompanying our family of three was a new X-Trail that we bought three months ago.
The joy of travel is always on the road
Winter in Chongqing is actually a bit cold, but it doesn't affect our mood in the slightest. Looking out the window at the mountains and woods, my son quickly entered excitement mode.
After driving a section of the highway, we turned and walked on a non-paved gravel road of about a few kilometers - said to be rubble, but there are actually some large stones and potholes, and in many places the water looks deeper.
Fortunately, the ground clearance of the new X-Trail has reached 210mm, which is much stronger than that of "ordinary urban SUVs". And it is also equipped with Nissan's second-generation 4×4-i intelligent all-mode four-wheel drive system, to deal with this mild off-road road condition, just one click to switch to off-road mode.
Of course, some two-wheel drive urban SUVs can pass through this road condition, but you will drive carefully and worry about the chassis being scratched from time to time. At the beginning, the reason why I unswervingly chose the new 4WD version of X-Trail was to see its stronger passability and 4WD performance.
"Son, there is a puddle in front, visually safer, Dad will take you to play a mini surf." The joy of travel, always on the road, occasionally to create a little surprise, but also a good way to enhance the relationship between father and son.
"Ollie give!" The son put his face on the car window as he spoke, and the splash of water along the way excited him, and finally did not forget to send me a good man card - "Dad, you are so great."
When you get to the off-road park, there is a narrow dirt road that is worse, and if you are not careful, you may be trapped in the car, fortunately, the new X-Trail is equipped with a second-generation B-LSD electronic skate limiter, once the system detects that one or two tires lose adhesion, it can be instantly locked, thereby distributing power to other adhesion wheels. Therefore, compared with other urban SUVs, Qijun's ability to get out of trouble is stronger.
Although I did not use B-LSD in this section of the road, I have to say that with this "helper out of trouble", our choice of travel is more abundant.
Go on a challenge, like a little man
Fan Deng once said that children spend their lives looking for two pillars: a sense of belonging and a sense of value. The former is based on his family of origin, while the latter is based on society's identification with him. The best way to let children get a sense of value is to let them experience and play. That's why I brought my son to the off-road park.
Every boy has a "Transformer" in his heart, and they have a natural love for machinery. Perhaps influenced by the nature of my work, my son was obsessed with cars from an early age, and the speed, roar and smell of gasoline all brought him excitement and happiness more than chocolate. Previously, I had taken him to experience the pleasure of go-karts chasing me on a small track, but the simple two-dimensional plane movement did not give him the experience of gravity except for feeling the speed.
Such a regret was made up in the off-road park. As soon as I entered the off-road park, my son eagerly pulled me to the mountain bike, at this moment, there is no traffic rule, there is no reinforced concrete confinement, we just have to enjoy this rare thrill - rushing over the hillside, over the woods, over the mud... The son shouted again and again, "It's too good to play, let's have another plate."
If it weren't for the age limit, my son would have wanted to go to the battlefield on his own. In order to satisfy his desire to "establish a post as evidence", I agreed to let him sit in the driver's seat and take a picture, so that he had a lot of addiction.
When I asked him, "What's the difference between a mountain bike and a go-kart?" When my son's answer surprised me, he said, "The mountain bike is bumpy, it is still shaking, but it is more exciting, I like the feeling of it rushing to the top of the slope", the expression is like a little man.
Every time he travels, his son grows a little. When camping, he learned to help with the equipment; on foot, he never dropped the chain... During the trip, I was pleasantly surprised by his growth and cherished the happy time I had with him.
Comfort is the best state of the journey
On the way home, we were both a little tired, the son lay on the back "big sofa" and fell asleep comfortably, his wife helped him adjust the temperature of the back seat air conditioner, and began to enjoy this rare tranquility, after a sentence of "Hello, Qi Jun", a song of her favorite "Small Town Events" was immediately presented.
Then, I entered a more comfortable and relaxed driving state - pressing the blue button on the steering wheel, turning on the Pilot (Super Smart Driving) function, and after adjusting the speed and follow distance, the vehicle entered the automatic cruise state. At this time, the new Qijun is like an old driver, walking steadily in the middle of the lane, the front car slows down, it automatically decelerates; the front car accelerates, it automatically accelerates; whether it accelerates or decelerates, its intervention is very gentle and makes people very comfortable; even if it changes lanes and cruises, it behaves very calmly and gives people enough confidence.
The sound insulation performance of the new X-Trail is really satisfactory to me, the ANC active noise reduction system and the double-layer acoustic acoustic glass block most of the noise, close the windows, the car is quiet, and I am satisfied - a family, a comfortable journey, enough.
Pick up the car for three months, comfortable is the new Qijun to give me the biggest feeling. Its comfort is all-round: for example, space, the new X-Trail belongs to the compact SUV, but the wheelbase reaches 2706mm, so its seating space is very abundant, with the new Multi-Layer ergonomic seat, that feeling, very comfortable.
The trunk capacity of the new X-Trail is also large enough, under normal circumstances, the trunk volume reaches 512 liters, which is enough to place the son's oversized toys when traveling by car. In addition, the design of large openings and high spaces is also more convenient to access enlarged items.
Of course, as the only labor force in the family, my favorite thing is that its trunk has a "kick" induction function, and whenever I carry a large bag and a small bag, I always want to say "this function, it's really comfortable."
To say a detail, the new Qijun rear door opening angle almost reached 90 degrees, the elderly, children on and off the car more comfortable, just like my son, always like to jump on the car or jump off the car, this design, as far as possible to avoid him being touched or rubbed.
The new X-Trail actually has a lot of similar details design, and many functions I slowly discovered in the process of use. If you ask me how to evaluate the new X-Trail, I will honestly tell you that this car is actually very nice.

Yes, in the past two years, the epidemic has always been harassing our lives, at first we were very anxious, even a little panic, but slowly, we learned to be calm - although we can't change the epidemic, we can change ourselves, know how to find the greatest happiness in simple happiness.
Just like this weekend, a small journey is enough to make us both happy for a long time.
