By 6:30 p.m., all the parents' final interviews with the Kwa Father Class and the Prairie Class had been completed. For three whole days, the process was fulfilling, alive, and arguably fun (although there were moments when the atmosphere was a little awkward or heavy).

The thing of education is the matter of the soul. Therefore, the child's education work is not only focused on the child, but also the parents and families behind him/her.

Since I started teaching in 2009, I have taken home visits seriously. Every time I accept a new student, I must go to their house to see, chat with the child's parents, look at the child's bedroom, his daily toys, books on the shelves, and so on.

Being immersed in the scene and feeling the field where the child is growing can help us more easily understand this new soul.

▲ Huang Mingyu, who was the main teacher of the first grade of Waldorf 12 years ago

Leaving Nanshan Huadefu School, on the platform of Xinzhuang Normal School, running a small Yugong class (later renamed Kwa Father Class), children from all over the country, can not visit home, but communication with parents is essential.

For a long time, I did not specifically participate in the enrollment work, that is to say, in the early stage, I did not participate in the interview between parents and children, and I said to the colleague in charge of admissions, let you suffer, what kind of children you recruit, I will teach. In this sense, I am not critical of children and parents, but just follow the causes.

Today, now in my thirteenth year of teaching, I can feel the incredulity of karma more and more. The arrangement of life is that you can't be picky, just try your best and follow the fate.

Before I became the main class teacher of the first grade of elementary school, I used to lead book clubs. It was in 2007, Lipin published the book "Knowing Love: Growing up in intimate relationships", and with the encouragement of Teacher Hu Yinmeng, I personally brought this book to the book club. Once every two weeks, twenty or thirty people each time, around the book, share their own life experiences. That experience was a very important exercise for me.

Previously, as a science and engineering man, I ignored emotional problems, thinking that people were sticky and crooked, too wasteful of time and too troublesome. Later, Teacher Hu said to me, you are going to be a loving father, and you will not learn.

▲ Teacher Hu Yinmeng

At the time, I didn't understand what this sentence meant. According to the explanation of karmic astrology, it is said that I have Cancer in the south and Capricorn in the north. This means that knowing how to be considerate and take care of others is my past life, and going beyond emotions and devoting myself to a certain cause is the goal of my soul in this life.

At that time, I listened to these words and did not care.

As life unfolds, the more I get to the end, the more I feel that it is quite in line, and my North Focus has developed a little too much, not at all like a Cancer man, cold and ruthless, obviously knowing how to be considerate of people, but not doing it.

From the "old soul", from the concept of the unity of the universe, looking at the peak and loop of life, people will be much more relaxed and peaceful. Of course, you don't have to trust this metaphysical language system.

When I was teaching the first grade of elementary school, visiting my parents one by one, facing parents with various educational backgrounds and professional backgrounds, I suddenly realized that I had opened the reading club in the living room of the family.

The transformation of society, from the materialistic point of view, is the main role of the productive forces; from the idealistic point of view, it is caused by human concepts. From the perspective of the unity of heaven and earth, it is only the change of day and night, the sun and the moon, and the beginning of the end, the human heart is artificial, the world is impermanent, and the continuation of human civilization is the bright nature of the human heart.

Writing here, I can't help but want to quote the excerpt of the "Tao Te Ching" annotated by the White Jade Toad (reading the White Jade Toad recently, a bit addictive):

ChunFeng Chapter XVII

Taishang, (the spirit of the heart, is called holy.) )

There is knowledge. (This makes sense for everything.) )

Secondly, the reputation of the pro. (There are things that give birth to heaven and earth, and the nameless book is lonely.) )

Secondly, fear it. (The people use it every day and do not know it.) )

Secondly, insult. (Silence does not move, feeling and passing.) )

Insufficient faith, (I don't know this, just too clear.) )

There is unbelief. (Ordinary mind is the Tao, there is no need to give birth to distinction.) )

It's like a noble word. (What else?) )

(This principle exists, this heart exists.) )

The people call me natural. (Round Tops, Bright Shuo Shuo, Pure Shuo, Red Sprinkling.) )

When you face these parents of different ages and accents, you can see the appearance of their children; similarly, you can see the parents behind him/her when you spend time with your children on weekdays.

People come into the world with their own backgrounds and origins. The former is called history, the latter is called metaphysics. Metaphysically and sub-formly, mutual cause and effect are mutual.

Interviews with children, interviews with parents, most of the situations are joyful. Just as Confucius said, learning and learning from time to time is not also said. The dialogue of the soul is direct, alive and full of life.

▲ Teacher Huang's research base in Hainan

Sometimes, I give very specific suggestions to parents about where their children will go in the future. Some suggest going back to the junior high school in the system, taking the middle school entrance examination, and then going to the high school in the system, preparing to enter the university; some suggest not to go to the university in China, go directly to the University in Europe; some suggest that you go directly to the United States to study at the Ivy League University, break into the white elite, and make friends with the Jews; some suggest that you don't have to think about going to college, and follow us to the world in the future, and create a new world...

In short, it varies from person to person, born with fate, and life needs to do some phased planning, but don't be too purposeful, the key is to see where the vitality is.

There is a nursery rhyme, two words in other words, called "Where is the Life", which may serve as a team song for "The Great Beauty Walker":

Where's the vitality, where is the vitality?

Life in that verdant mountain forest

There's saffron here, there's green grass

And the little yellow oriole that can sing

Tick-by-mile-to-mile

Tick-to-mile-mile-by-mile.)

Tick-by-mile -

Life in the verdant mountain forest

Life is in the reflection of the lake

The red flowers reflect the green grass

……

Life is in the eyes of children

10 masterpieces published by Lipin

Next year will be the 20th anniversary of the founding of Lipin Books.

The birth of Lipin is related to the plague in 2003, so I am grateful for SARS; now mankind is experiencing a more serious plague, and I don't know how many people can wake up from this apocalypse.

I had a young friend who wanted me to recommend a few books to her. I said I'd send a few books published by Lipin. Back in Beijing, I flipped through the bibliography of Lipin and selected the following 10 masterpieces.

These 10 books may not be the most popular in the market, but they reflect the direction of Lipin's efforts.

Publishing is a barometer of the atmosphere of the times, and publishers are the people who take the pulse of the times. I hope that more friends will hear the call of the soul and live more vividly, so as to make the world more vibrant.

1 "The Things You Must Not Want in Life"

Essay | Zhonglin: Where is the Vitality (Appendix List: Ten Masterpieces Published by Lipin)

In 2004, I went to Taiwan for the first time, and I searched for books at the Eslite Dunnan store, which was not closed for 24 hours, and stayed for 17 hours. At that time, the first time I saw Krishnamurti's name, I was moved by the title of the book. When I opened it, I really did get to my heart. So he decided to introduce the mainland.

Later, Keshi's books sold out, and once doing an activity in Hanfen Building, a reader said that he read Keshi's books, and at first he was very enjoyable, and then he couldn't stand it and was eager to tear it up. why? Because Keshi's words are direct, you can't dodge.

2 "Will the World Be Better: Liang Shuming's Oral Account in His Later Years"

Author: Ai Kai, Liang Shuming

The First Edition of Oriental Publishing Center in January 2006

Essay | Zhonglin: Where is the Vitality (Appendix List: Ten Masterpieces Published by Lipin)

Mr. Leung had a great influence on me and was very fortunate to publish this oral account of his later years.

Mr. Liang is a Buddhist, but walks the world in a Confucian guise. He was skeletal, like a reader since ancient times; he was generous, worried about the world, but never disappointed.

3 The Inconceivable of Life: The Autobiography of Hu Yinmeng

Author: Hu Yinmeng

The First Edition of Oriental Publishing Center in August 2006

Essay | Zhonglin: Where is the Vitality (Appendix List: Ten Masterpieces Published by Lipin)

Hu Yinmeng is a strange woman, who has helped me greatly and is very grateful!

4 Right View: The Buddha's Enlightenment

Author: Dzongsar Chiang Yang Khyentse Rinpoche

First edition by China Friendship Publishing Company in January 2007

Essay | Zhonglin: Where is the Vitality (Appendix List: Ten Masterpieces Published by Lipin)

The publication of this book went exceptionally smoothly and to my surprise. Because the author is a Bhutanese, and he is also a representative figure of Tibetan Buddhism today. His written expression is humorous and wise.

The title of the book is literally translated into English as "Near Buddhist", which means that those who have shaved their heads, put on robes, and speak the Language of Buddha are not necessarily true Buddhists, but can only be called similar to Buddhists. So, what is a true Buddhist? You read it and you know it.

5 "About This Heart"

Author: Ajaan Cha

Hainan Publishing House first edition in March 2008

Essay | Zhonglin: Where is the Vitality (Appendix List: Ten Masterpieces Published by Lipin)

Ajaan Cha is a representative figure of modern southern Buddhism, and his influence on Westerners is profound. People usually refer to southern Buddhism as "Hinayana" and Chinese Buddhism as "Mahayana", but there is no contradiction between the two. Those who have not attained the greatest and the most subtle cannot be called enlightened.

6 "After the Ecstasy"

Author: Jack Confield

Essay | Zhonglin: Where is the Vitality (Appendix List: Ten Masterpieces Published by Lipin)

The author is an American, a student of Ajaan Cha. The book reveals scandals involving some devotional teams.

Why do enlightened people fall? This is a good question.

7 New World: Spiritual Awakening

Author: Eckhart Thor

Southern Press first edition in February 2012

Essay | Zhonglin: Where is the Vitality (Appendix List: Ten Masterpieces Published by Lipin)

The title of the book was approved and approved, which was unexpected.

In fact, Chinese culture is full of spirituality from beginning to end, the land of Shenzhou, today do not dare to talk about the word "spirituality", how can the descendants of the dragon really wake up, how can the dragon fly in the sky?

8 "Steiner's Autobiography"

The first edition of China Literary Association Publishing House was published in January 2018

Essay | Zhonglin: Where is the Vitality (Appendix List: Ten Masterpieces Published by Lipin)

Lipin has published many Waldorf books that are very inspiring for educators and parents.

To break the shackles of materialism and atheism on Chinese spirituality, dr. Steiner's thinking and practical experience can be learned in the field of education.

9 "The Tao is not far from people, virtue is in the hearts of people"

Author: Wang Zhenhua

Kyushu Publishing Co., Ltd. September 2016 Edition

Essay | Zhonglin: Where is the Vitality (Appendix List: Ten Masterpieces Published by Lipin)

The late teacher Wang Zhenhua, the mountain chief of Taiwan's Dejian College, was a respectable reader, and his gentle words would make us blush.

"Self-evident, natural, pertinent", is the school motto he gave to Xin zhuang normal. The middle way is one, the royal way is consistent, and I am grateful for the encounter with Teacher Zhenhua!

10 "Chinese Moments in World History"

Author: Yao Zhongqiu

Hainan Publishing House first edition in December 2019

Essay | Zhonglin: Where is the Vitality (Appendix List: Ten Masterpieces Published by Lipin)

The book was published during the COVID-19 pandemic, and its title means a big letter of history. Although Professor Yao Zhongqiu is controversial, his transformation represents the cultural consciousness of contemporary Chinese intellectuals.

In my opinion, Professor Yao Zhongqiu is a Confucian who resembles Zixia and Xunzi, and although he has his stubbornness and prejudice, he has a deep affection for China. His history class was a compulsory course for Xinzhuang Teacher. As one student wrote: "Only by studying history can we better understand the present, can we more truly understand what is happening in the present, and can we find answers to various social problems and problems in life." Because none of our personal lives can be divorced from the context of the times. ”

List two more non-selling copies:

1 "The Footprints of the Father"

Author: A student in Kwa's father class

Lipin Books is produced in 2021

Essay | Zhonglin: Where is the Vitality (Appendix List: Ten Masterpieces Published by Lipin)

Every year I publish a collection of essays for the children of our class, which was called the Yugong Class, and published two volumes of "Footprints of Heavenly Man".

After changing its name to Kwa Father Class, this is the first book to be published, and it will continue to be published in the future.

2 "One Heart World"

Author: Wang Linhai

Lipin Books is produced in 2021

This big book is beautiful and extravagant. And there is no pricing, only giving away, not selling in bookstores.

This is probably my biggest wish in publishing for many years, to meet friends with books, not just to treat books as cheap goods. One family in the world, one person in China, only because of one heart.
