Li Peng, chief leader of the "Fuxi" team, said that the main control chip, as the core device of the secondary equipment of the power grid, involves tens of millions of key devices of the power grid and is the brain of the power industry control. He stressed: "If the outlaws launch cyber attacks through chips, it will cause a large-scale power outage in the country." ”

It is reported that under the guidance of Li Lihun, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the smart chip team of China Southern Power Grid led by Li Peng in 2013 launched the pre-research of the "Fuxi" project.

The "Fuxi" project team immersed in research, after countless experiments, at the end of 2019, the first version of the "Fuxi" chip sample was successfully delivered.

The chip is not only completely based on the domestic instruction architecture and the domestic core, the whole process from design to packaging is completed in China, the comprehensive performance is 1.5 times that of imported similar products, and the network storm resistance is increased by 60 times.

In the following years, the chip-based protection device based on chip development was successfully hung on the net, accelerating mass production research and development, reducing costs and improving efficiency, and leading the way for large-scale applications.

In 2021, after nearly ten years and multi-scenario verification, the first domestic power-specific main control chip based on the domestic instruction architecture and the domestic core " Fuxi" achieved mass production, marking the transformation of the core chip in the field of power industrial control in the mainland from "imported universal" to "independent special", and the core components of power secondary equipment have achieved independent controllability, ensuring the supply security of nearly 100 billion yuan of domestic power grid equipment.
