A few days ago, China FAW Group Co., Ltd. entrusted FAW Besturn Car Co., Ltd. to file a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulations in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products. Decided to recall 5,280 2019 Besturn B30 EV400 vehicles produced between December 13, 2019 and March 19, 2020, effective June 27, 2022.
The vehicle's electronic vacuum pumps covered by this recall are manufactured with defects that could cause damage to their internal blades and stalls, resulting in no vacuum replenishment of the brake assist system. Vehicles may lose brake power during normal driving, and in extreme cases, there is a risk of accidents in the vehicle, and there are potential safety hazards.
FAW Besturn Car Co., Ltd. will replace the electronic vacuum pump for vehicles covered by the recall to eliminate safety hazards.
