[Mobile China News] Previously, Samsung officials have issued a confirmation that the next generation of Galaxy S series mobile phones will be released at the Unpacked event in February 2022. As the release time approaches, there are more and more revelations about the Samsung S22 series on the Internet. On January 24, foreign media exposed the European price of the new S22 series of machines.
Samsung seems to be planning to raise the price of the Galaxy S22 series by $100 across the board. The S22 standard version starts at $899 (about 5700 yuan), plus up to $1099 (about 7000 yuan), and the Ultra version costs up to $1299 (about 8200 yuan). For comparison, the S21 series starts at $799 (about 5,000 yuan), while the S21 Ultra sells for $1,199 (about 7,600 yuan).
In response to a tweet, whistleblowers confirmed that $1299 was only the price of the basic version of the Galaxy S22 Ultra. This means that the larger memory version is more expensive. On the bright side, though, even if these prices prove to be accurate, they're still $100 lower than the S20 series.
In addition, whistleblowers also confirmed that Samsung will only launch the S22 series and tab S8 series at the Unpacked event in February, and will not launch the new Galaxy Buds. The standard version of the Galaxy Tab S8 series seems to be priced "below $850 (about 5400 yuan)", the price of tab S8+ may be between $900 and $1000 (about 5700 yuan -6300 yuan), and the price of tab S8 Ultra may be around 1100 US dollars (about 7000 yuan).
