Kunming, 21 Jan (Xinhua) -- The Information Office of the Public Security Department of Yunnan Province issued a news release: At 11 a.m. on 21 January, as the Chinese patrol and law enforcement boats successfully docked at the Jingha Wharf in China's Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, the 113th Joint Patrol and Law Enforcement Operation on the Mekong River between China, Laos, Myanmar, And Thailand was successfully completed.

In this operation, the law enforcement departments of China, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand dispatched a total of 2 law enforcement boats, 54 law enforcement team members, and a total range of 632 kilometers. Participating law enforcement boats and law enforcement team members strictly abide by the "non-contact" regulations on joint patrol law enforcement epidemic prevention and control, implement various measures such as epidemic prevention and elimination, body temperature detection, etc., and carry out joint operations by means of full-line joint patrols and segmented patrols of key waters, forming a strong control over the key waters of the Mekong River.

According to reports, after the completion of the joint patrol law enforcement operation, the law enforcement departments of the four countries will continue to carry out segmented patrol law enforcement operations in relevant waters, and continue to carry out joint special operations to severely crack down on various transnational illegal and criminal activities such as smuggling, smuggling, telecommunications network fraud, and drug crimes, and make every effort to maintain the safety and stability of the Mekong River Basin during the Spring Festival.
