Teacher Huang Mingming is known as the "Peony Sacred Hand" by the calligraphy and painting circles. I met Mr. Huang Mingming, because in 2011, CCTV came to Yancheng to shoot a feature film "Freehand Life" for the famous calligrapher and painter Lin Lizhong.
After that, we met several times, had many exchanges, and admired many of his peony works, and at that time, I saw that the peony flowers in his pen were different, delicate, pure and elegant, and full of vitality. And the black peony he made is even more unique, there is an artistic effect of "ink five colors", he shows the scorched, thick, heavy, light and clear ink, and is impressed by his heavy cultural heritage, no wonder in the Chinese calligraphy and painting circles, he is known as the "Peony Holy Hand".
Since 1992, Huang Mingming has held a solo exhibition in Singapore, which has been warmly welcomed by the local people. He has held seven solo exhibitions in Singapore. Local newspapers in Singapore once used the headline "Only peonies are true national colors, and the lion city moves during the blossoming season" to describe the influence of Huang Mingming's peony paintings on the local art scene, and Singapore politicians have also received Huang Mingming many times. He also gave his works as a state gift to foreign guests.
On April 10, 2014, I overheard That Huang Mingming died suddenly due to high blood pressure in the middle of the activities in Zhangzhou Tianbao, which was very unexpected and shocking! A famous calligrapher and painter with high moral standing and both virtue and art left us without warning. It was really hard to accept for a while.
Although Teacher Huang has been away for almost eight years, whenever he sees Teacher Huang's "General Leader Fang Chun Chang" peony picture hanging on the garden wall of his home, he often thinks of Teacher Huang's voice and appearance. Fortunately, at that time, I collected some works of Teacher Huang that I could appreciate and meditate on.
