During the reign of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang, there was a eunuch who successfully ascended to the throne and controlled all the military power of the Tang Dynasty, and this eunuch was Li Fuguo. Li Fuguo entered the palace during the reign of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang, and later Li Fuguo was assigned to serve Li Heng, the crown prince of the dynasty. Li Fuguo was later regarded as the right arm of Tang Suzong, who learned the lesson of the Anshi Rebellion, took back the military power from the hands of the military generals, and also handed it over to Li Fuguo, who became the first eunuch in the Tang Dynasty to control the military power. Later, Tang Xuanzong also returned to Chang'an, but was renamed Emperor Taishang, but Tang Xuanzong seemed to have nothing to do, but Tang Suzong and Li Fuguo were still not at ease. They successively took back many of the rights of the Emperor Taishang, and also replaced the slaves around the Emperor Taishang with some old, weak, sick and disabled. Later, Li Fuguo also exiled his former superior, Gao Lishi, who was a confidant of the Emperor Taishang, but the Emperor Taishang could do nothing in the face of such a dilemma. Emperor Suzong of Tang had great trust in Li Fuguo and allowed him to exercise imperial power on his behalf. Li Fuguo's power tilted to the opposition, which naturally caused dissatisfaction among other officials in the imperial court, and in order to prevent the officials of the imperial court from saying bad things about him behind his back, Li Fuguo also set up a secret organization of more than a dozen people to monitor the officials of the imperial court.
Li Fuguo's subsequent development into a state was subject to his permission, and the local emissaries were also appointed by him. The royal patriarch Li Dan once wrote a letter to impeach Li Fuguo and also listed Li Fuguo's crimes, but his letter was intercepted by Li Fuguo, and Li Dan was later demoted from the capital. Li Fuguo also proposed to Tang Suzong to become prime minister, but was strongly opposed by Xiao Hua, the current chancellor, and later Li Fuguo framed Xiao Hua many times, which eventually led to Xiao Hua being degraded, and Li Fuguo also succeeded in ranking as prime minister. Li Fuguo also joined forces with Empress Zhang to frame King Jianning, resulting in the killing of King Jianning.
However, Tang Dynasty, the crown prince supported by Li Fuguo, was very disgusted with this former old slave's pro-government.
