On January 19th, the groundbreaking ceremony of Shandong Geely Xinwanda Power Battery Project and the Pledge Conference for Accelerating the Advancement of the Project were held in Zaozhuang High-tech Zone Geely Xinwanda Project Construction Base.
Wang Guangbu, secretary of the Party Working Committee and director of the management committee of Zaozhuang High-tech Zone, Zhang Chong, deputy secretary of the party working committee and deputy director of the management committee of Zaozhuang High-tech Zone, An Pengfei, deputy general manager of Geely Group Weirui Electric Vehicle, Ye Zhilin, assistant to the president of Xinwangda Group, Bowen, general manager of Shandong Geely Sunwoda, special guests such as project design units, construction units and supervision units, and industry media attended the ceremony.
In July last year, the Shandong Geely Sunwoda Power Battery Project, jointly invested by Sunwoda Group, Geely Group and Zhejiang Jirun, was officially established. The project products are mainly used by Geely to create a new second-generation HEV hybrid system with all independent intellectual property rights, which can be widely used in geely's many models, with low fuel consumption, low emissions, high performance and other characteristics. The project covers an area of about 451 acres, and will drive more than 2,000 people to work after completion.
The project will make full use of the advantages of the parent companies of both sides, strive to provide strong support for Zaozhuang to build a green and safe new energy model city, build a lithium battery capital in northern China, and contribute to the early realization of the national double carbon target.
For the pace of the project, Ye Zhilin, assistant to the president of Sunwoda Group, revealed that the Ji project plans to start delivering the decoration of the factory building in June this year, and the equipment will be installed and debugged in September this year, and it is expected to achieve product off-line at the end of this year.
