In April last year, relying on 18 colleges and universities such as Weihai Research Institute of Wuhan University of Technology, Ocean University of China and Shandong University, Shidao Management District held the "Weihai Marine Biological and Health Food Industry Innovation and Shidao Management District Industry-University-Research Cooperation Conference", attracting the participation of 85 enterprises and institutes, and promoting 10 industry-university-research cooperation.
The platform is the fertile soil for enterprise innovation and development, in order to maximize the potential of scientific and technological service enterprises, so that more enterprises benefit, in accordance with the idea of classification cultivation and systematic promotion, according to the characteristics of each carrier, the management area has added 9 new innovation platforms in 2021, of which Huihai Chuangda Co., Ltd. and Ludong Special Medical Purpose Formula Food Research Institute Co., Ltd. were approved as new research and development institutions in Shandong Province; Weihai Research Institute of Wuhan Institute of Technology and Tongfeng Biotechnology Co., Ltd. were approved as new research and development institutions in Weihai City Lanrun Aquatic Products Co., Ltd. and Lanrun Biotechnology Co., Ltd. were approved by Weihai Technology Innovation Center and Weihai Key Laboratory; Ailes Marine Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Shandong CSSC Cable Co., Ltd., and Longtai Petroleum were approved as Weihai Engineering Technology Research Center. The Marine Biological Innovation and Entrepreneurship Community and the Weihai Research Institute of Wuhan University of Technology were included in the "1+4+N" innovation system in Weihai. Up to now, these new platforms have released more than 100 scientific and technological achievements to enterprises, and added 10 new industry-university-research cooperation projects.
In accordance with the principle of "planning a batch, cultivating a batch, and maturing a batch", the management area also carries out the cultivation of high-tech enterprises and the evaluation of technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises for enterprises in the jurisdiction in a targeted manner, and strengthens the group of science and technology enterprises. Last year, it promoted 31 enterprises such as Ailes Bio and Huihai Chuangda to be included in the list of national science and technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises in 2021, and organized 13 enterprises such as Rixin Aquatic Products and Saien Environmental Protection to complete the declaration of high-tech enterprises in 2021.
Based on the outstanding advantages of the marine economy and the attribute advantages of the science and technology park in the park, in late October last year, in accordance with the guidance of the Provincial Science and Technology Department, the management area officially declared the construction of the "Shandong Province Deep Sea Aquaculture Fishing and Seafood Deep Processing Innovation and Entrepreneurship Community", and completed the preparation and reporting of the construction plan at the end of October of the same year, and initially obtained the approval of the Provincial Science and Technology Department to enter the demonstration stage.

In the new year, the management area will focus on building a "government-industry-university-research funding" integrated innovation ecology, starting from the introduction of institute teams, the creation of science and technology innovation platforms, as well as accelerating the agglomeration of innovation resources, opening up the "last kilometer" of multi-party cooperation, etc., to transform new impetus and accumulate new momentum for improving the quality and efficiency of the marine economy.
