"I'm the 006 torchbearer, and after docking with the previous torchbearer to light the torch, I turn around and run forward 50 meters before lighting the next torch, and my mission is complete." The old man Wang Jinyu proudly said that although it was only 50 meters short, he felt very honored and proud.

The selection of torchbearers has strict standards, must love the motherland, love the Olympic movement, and make outstanding achievements in the industry and the region, or their own experience is educational and motivating to others, contribute to the development of the Olympic cause or have achieved excellent results in the history of the Olympic Games.
Wang Jinyu is a native of Hegang, Heilongjiang, the first generation of speed skaters in mainland China, the first person in China to break the world record of speed skating, and has won the National Sports Medal of Honor, the Sports Contribution Award since the Founding of the People's Republic of China, and the Contribution Award of the Third Winter Asian Games. Wang Jinyu's family can be regarded as an ice sports family, and his wife and children were once professional athletes in ice sports, and they previously lived with their children in Hebei. About a month ago, Wang Jinyu suddenly received a notice to participate in the Torch Relay of the Winter Olympics, which made the family excited.
A few days later, under the introduction of friends, Wang Jinyu and his children came to Shidao to live and retire. "The environment of Stone Island is good, the air is good, and I don't want to leave when I come." Wang Jinyu said that in previous years, the family would go to Sanya to spend the winter, and after coming to Shidao this year, although they only lived for more than 20 days, the whole family decided not to leave in Shidao.
On January 30, Wang Jinyu, accompanied by his family, went to Beijing to report to prepare for the torch relay. When he saw the torch, the old man's mood was instantly surging and excited. On the first day of the torch relay on February 2, Wang Jinyu participated in the relay mission as the 006 torchbearer in beijing Winter Olympic Park. After the mission, according to the arrangement of the organizer, the torch after the removal of the fuel part was presented to the torchbearer as a souvenir.
During this trip, Wang Jinyu also had the honor to participate in the grand opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics, and through witnessing the opening ceremony and competition venues full of modernization and science and technology, he deeply felt the strength of the motherland.
