The National Health Commission reported on January 20 that from 0 to 24:00 on January 19, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 43 new local confirmed cases of covid-19 (24 cases in Henan, including 19 cases in Anyang City, 4 cases in Xuchang City, and 1 case in Zhengzhou City; 14 cases in Tianjin, all in Jinnan District; 3 cases in Beijing, including 2 cases in Fengtai District and 1 case in Chaoyang District; 2 cases in Guangdong, all in Zhuhai City), including 7 cases of asymptomatic infection to confirmed cases (6 cases in Tianjin and 1 case in Beijing).

There were 2 new cases of local asymptomatic infection (both in Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province).

Tianjin

Confirmed case 1: Currently residing in Wanliuyuan Community, Fengtai District, cold storage porter, doing nucleic acid testing once a week. He reported developing cough symptoms on 16 January, taking his own cold medicine and not seeking medical attention. On January 19, the nucleic acid test result was reported as positive, and the Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention detected the specific mutation site of the Delta variant strain, and the results of comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical manifestations, laboratory tests and imaging examinations were diagnosed as confirmed cases on the same day, and the clinical classification was mild, and it has been transferred to the designated hospital for isolation and treatment.

Confirmed case 2: Cohabited with confirmed case 1, cold storage porter, nucleic acid testing is routinely done once a week. On January 19, the patient developed symptoms such as headache and sore throat, and based on the results of epidemiological history, clinical manifestations, laboratory tests and imaging tests, the patient was diagnosed as a confirmed case on the same day, and the clinical classification was mild, and continued to be isolated and treated in the designated hospital.

Guangdong

Xi'an, Shaanxi: Nearly two-thirds of the patients in this round of the epidemic have been cured and discharged from the hospital

On January 19, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, held a press conference on epidemic prevention and control to introduce the latest situation of epidemic prevention and control.

According to the relevant person in charge, from 0:00 to 24:00 on January 18, 109 cases were cured and discharged; since the current round of epidemic, a total of 1317 people have been cured and discharged, all of which have been transferred to Xi'an Qinhuang Hospital, the Provincial Fourth People's Hospital, and the Chang'an District Hospital for health monitoring, isolation and rehabilitation; the existing 733 confirmed cases have been isolated and treated in the Municipal Chest Hospital and the Aerospace Branch of the Municipal Fourth Hospital, all of which are mild and ordinary, and there are no severe and critical cases.
