It is also the first batch of research and practice education bases for primary and secondary school students in China. During the winter vacation, Shennong Caotang Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine launched a series of research courses on "Exploring Traditional Chinese Medicine +", focusing on the "National Traditional Chinese Medicine" Banlan Root, launching a tie-dye comprehensive practice course to study and practice, adding color to the comprehensive and healthy development of students.

During the tie-dye process on site, the children played all possible blues to their fullest. After the completion of tie-dyeing, a sea of blue flowers appeared on the edge of the Shennong Caotang site, from deep blue, sky blue to milk blue, and tie-dye scarves were finally formed after an hour and a half of complex craftsmanship, and the blue patterns were perfectly presented.
"Wow, there are 365 kinds of Chinese medicinal herbs on display here in the first phase of the project alone! Among them, there are those we know, there are also many who do not know, and there are "broken intestinal grass" and "see blood seal throat", which is really eye-opening. One student said excitedly. On the day of the study activity, in addition to learning banlan root tie-dyeing, primary and secondary school students also visited Shennong Caotang to experience the "difficulty" and "blue" of banlan root, and 360 degrees to know Banlan root and other Chinese medicinal materials.

"Known as the first net red plate blue root in the field of traditional Chinese medicine, it was first recorded in the "Shennong Materia Medica", known as blue, and the first one of the plate blue root was from the Ming Dynasty Li Shizhen's "Compendium of Materia Medica", which has the effect of clearing heat, detoxification, cooling blood and throat..." Dr. Huang Yuan, who graduated from Peking University and studied under Academician Zhong Nanshan, as the tutor of the "Exploration of Ban Lan Root Journey" research route, explained the cultural stories of Traditional Chinese medicine such as Shennong Caotang and Ban Lan Root for more than 30 students from many primary and secondary schools and people from the research and education circles.
Accompanied by professional tutors, the students explored the origins of Traditional Chinese medicine, learned knowledge such as Lingnan Authentic Medicinal Materials, found problems in "travel", applied knowledge in "learning", solved problems in "research", and inherited the culture of Traditional Chinese medicine.
According to the person in charge of the shennong caotang research activities, the museum carried out the winter vacation study activities for primary and secondary school students, mainly in response to the "double reduction" policy, reducing the excessive homework burden and off-campus training burden of students in the compulsory education stage, and adding color to students' extracurricular life.

Since being identified by the Ministry of Education as the first batch of research and practice education bases for primary and secondary school students in China in 2017, more than 50,000 students have participated in various research theme activities in Shennong Caotang.
