On January 18, the "Huaibei to Suzhou to Bengbu Intercity Railway Station Pre-station Project (excluding HSBZQ-5 Bid), Post-Station Four Electricity and Related Project Construction Total Price Contracting Pre-qualification Announcement (Bidding Announcement)" was released. The announcement revealed that the huaibei to Suzhou to Bengbu intercity railway project is scheduled to enter the construction phase in April this year, with a construction period of 4 years.
The person in charge of the Municipal Railway Office said that the Huaibei-Suzhou-Bengbu intercity railway is an important part of the intercity railway network in northern Anhui and a convenient channel connecting the Hefei metropolitan area and the Yangtze River Delta region of the northern Anhui urban agglomeration. At present, the whole line is stepping up the work of submitting and approving the project land group to ensure that the project can start smoothly on schedule. In addition, the pre-station construction of the Huaihe Special Bridge section of the project's control project has officially started in Bengbu City at the end of 2020.
The construction announcement makes it clear that the new Huaibei-Suzhou-Bengbu intercity railway will pass through the three cities of Huaibei, Suzhou and Bengbu. The line starts from Huaibei North Station of Huaixiao Liaison Line, connects to Xuzhou hub via Zhengxu high-speed railway, Zhonglian plans to connect the Bozhou to Bengbu section of the Anhui North Intercity, Huaibei to Fuyang section, and the southern end introduces the Bengbu area to connect with the Beijing-Shanghai, Heben high-speed railway and the planned Ningchu-Bengbei intercity railway. The total length of the main line is 160.94 km; including the reconstruction of the Huaixiao liaison line in Huaibei area of 1.532 km, and the city's reconstruction of the existing Bengnan liaison line. There are 6 stations on the whole line, including Huaibei North Station, Huaibei West Station, Suzhou West Station, Shuangduiji Station, Guzhen South Station and Bengbu South Station, except for Bengbu South Station and Huaibei North Station, which are existing stations, and the rest are newly built stations. The railway class is high-speed railway, with a design speed of 350 km / h. After the completion of the project, it will fill the gap of Guzhen County without high-speed rail, further enhance the status of Bengbu City as a railway hub, and accelerate the construction of a "meter" shaped railway grid bureau in the city.
