On the evening of January 15th, the "Endless Reading: The 14th Guangzhou New Year Poetry Festival" sponsored by Poetry and People was held in Sihai City Peak Park in Panyu District. This is also the first time that the Guangzhou New Year Poetry Festival has been moved to the outdoors since it entered the Guangzhou Library in 2014.

According to the organizers, the theme of the 2022 Guangzhou New Year Poetry Festival is "Endless Reading", which breaks the boundaries of poetry texts in time and space, finds infinity in the limited world, and allows readers to see the charm of poetry extending to the endless. The whole activity lasted 90 minutes, divided into four chapters, such as "The Power of Dreams", "Endless Memory", "Self-Renewal Thought", "The Flesh of Words", and "The Eye of Listening", in which tan Yujie, Wu Linke, Li Ting, and Zeng Chunsen vividly interpreted the poetry works of Guangzhou poets Hua Qianshu, Wang Zhihua, An Pomegranate, Wang Nengping, Feng Na, and Jia Li in the form of sitcoms, and there were also Guangzhou poets Shi Bin, Du Lulu, Li Heng, and Meng Han who came to the scene to give their voices and read their poems deeply. Let the audience experience the poet's own experience in dealing with the language of poetry.

The Guangzhou New Year Poetry Festival is also a stage for professional voices. Many famous artists in Guangzhou, such as Wang Fei, Zu Qing, Zhong Si, Yiwen, and Nie Li, use their own unique voices to express Jack Gilbert's "Horses in the Midnight of the Moonless Moon", Aki's "Here", Sodergrand's "The World of Nothingness", Borges's "The Art of Poetry", John Watsch's "How Many Poets Have Gilded Time into Gold", Mary Oliver's "What Is Beyond Knowing" and other classic masterpieces.

At the same time, this year's Guangzhou New Year Poetry Festival makes full use of the environment of Sihai City Peak Park to design, paying attention to the local language and environmental texture, young stage designer Yang Ginseng designed the stage space as a U-shape above the small garden, endlessly extending to other places, the whole atmosphere is atmospheric and full of humanistic atmosphere. The scene of the poem pays attention to the power of the scene, the main visual design of the famous designer Yan Bin fully explains the concept of "endless reading", and the image rendering of the young digital artist Ke Yong'en also brings a strong visual impact to the poem. Du Zhuofeng uses lighting to design and light up the poetry and grass.
According to director Jiang Xiaofei, "This Guangzhou New Year Poetry Festival is not only a poetry recitation and artistic expression, but also a dialogue with the environment to find poetry. To this end, we use the technique of drama in the choreography process, through the use of real scene arrangement, so that the poetry exists in the environmental factors, and has a wonderful recall with the city. ”
It is understood that the Guangzhou New Year Poetry Club was founded by the poet Huang Libao in Sun Yat-sen University in 2008, and entered the library in 2014 at the invitation of the Guangzhou Library, and this year is the first time since 2014 that the Guangzhou New Year Poetry Club has walked out of the Guangzhou Library and become a New Year poetry party walking in Guangzhou.
"I think it can be seen from the Guangzhou New Year Poetry Festival that whether it is held in the Guangzhou Library or in outdoor places like Sihai City Peak Park, it attracts a lot of people to come." It is precisely because of these readers, these poets and writers, that the city of Guangzhou has a strong reading atmosphere and a kind of poetry. This is also one of the motivations for us to do the Guangzhou New Year Poetry Festival every year. ”
Huang Libao, founder of the Guangzhou New Year Poetry Association, said that in recent years, Guangzhou poetry creation has become more and more prosperous, not only attracting many poets from other places, but also many local growing poets, poetry is becoming a cultural symbol of Guangzhou, making Guangzhou a remarkable poetry city.
