Rank, welcome to reading history according to the calendar.

In the last episode, we talked about the racial discrimination in the United States that really has hundreds of years of history, and it is still like this in the military, and the black and white in the American military is not like what we see now, those Hollywood movies, black and white brothers fighting side by side and working together, not like this.

During World War I and World War II, the U.S. army was black and white, black you are a black company, white you are a white company, black company you can only do some miscellaneous work, you are not the main force at all.

How did the U.S. military discriminate against black people? How did we treat black captives?

But then, another war completely changed this reality, this war is the Korean War, how can this be? At the beginning of the Korean War, when a large number of American troops came to South Korea, it was still black and white, and there were black and white companies and white companies.

When our volunteer army first came into contact with the US army, at the beginning the soldiers had a number in mind for the white soldiers, knowing that the blonde hair and blue eyes were relatively tall, and the weapons they took were particularly advanced, and we had this psychological preparation.

But one of our troops was so frightened when it encountered a black company that the results were not very good at that time, and later, according to the soldiers' recollections, they had never seen a black man, especially a black man who had never seen such a black man.

We know that there are many people in the United States who are five big and three thick, very tall, particularly muscular, the key is that the skin is really dark, as a yellow person, if you have never seen a black person, the first time you see it, you really feel that this is like a gorilla.

To tell the truth, don't say that we Chinese fighting, when the First World War was just fought, didn't the U.S. military transport some black soldiers to Fight in Europe? The first time the German saw it, the whole regiment of black soldiers was also very frightened, and felt that it was almost like a fierce god.

So the first time we volunteers saw black soldiers, we also felt quite terrible, so the combat strength was slightly discounted, and later after several confrontations, it was found that this black man was also a person, nothing more than a black spot with dark skin, a tall body, a strong muscle, as long as he was a person, he was afraid of bullets.

After several confrontations, we won successive battles, and the volunteers captured many American soldiers, both white and black, and our volunteers really treated the prisoners first in the world.

We've talked to you in the past that we can even have the Olympics in prisoner-of-war camps, but for the white soldiers in the United States, they may feel normal, because after all, when fighting in the European battlefield, if you are captured by the other country, relatively speaking, these european countries are not very abusive to prisoners.

Haven't we talked about it before? The American army captured the German soldier and invited him to dinner, so the white American soldier felt that it was possible, it seemed that this volunteer army was really a mighty division of civilization, Chinese treated the prisoners very favorably, very civilized and polite, but the black soldiers had not been treated with this treatment.

We have said in the past that after the American army captured the German soldier in the European battlefield, they still respected the Germans, because they thought that we were a race, we were all civilized, so the American soldier would hand the German soldier a cigarette and eat at the same table as him.

However, at that time, the US military did not mix black and white, black people had no right to enter the white barracks, black people did not have the right to eat with white people, black people did not have the right to use white toilets.

Even at that time, there were regulations on the aircraft carriers in the United States that black people could not go up to the deck, and in such a state, many black people in the United States were accustomed to it, and felt that there was no way, we were divided into races, we were inferior races, we just did not have these rights.

But after being captured, they suddenly felt that something was wrong, how did this Chinese treat us as human beings, Chinese not only treated white prisoners, but also black prisoners, Chinese the same food provided to black whites.

Even they saw that there were no officers and soldiers in the volunteer army, and that senior generals and ordinary soldiers were wearing the same clothes and sitting at a table to eat.

So these black people are greatly touched, especially how strong our volunteer army's ability to attack the heart, the liberation war we have talked to you before, said that the Huaihai Campaign 600,000 to 800,000, old Jiang said at the beginning, 800,000 to 600,000 advantage in me, how I have to win.

However, in the end of the Battle of Huaihai, the soldiers of our army fought more and more, why? We have no casualties, no, we have a large number of liberation fighters, people who want to be deserters in the Kuomintang, after our ideological education, immediately became iron-clad PLA fighters.

In the Korean battlefield, a large number of black soldiers were deeply moved, and then there was a battle, we wanted to engage in this to lure the enemy deeper, and we deliberately released some soldiers, both black and white, back to the American barracks.

As a result, after these black soldiers returned to the US military barracks, they talked about their treatment, and many black soldiers in the United States felt incredible, Chinese how to treat them so well?

You think that although you are a soldier in the United States, you are also in the inferior class, you also belong to the enslaved gang, usually white people absolutely do not look at you squarely, and you are a prisoner on the Korean battlefield, people still see you as a person, really many black soldiers, listening to their brothers is really very touching.

Even some black soldiers had this question at that time, who are we fighting for, world war I and World War II, the US government declared, the world is occupied by the devil, Hitler wants to destroy all mankind, to enslave all of Europe and the whole earth, so we have to go out to fight, we have to save others.

Many black soldiers were brainwashed to fight heroically, and as a result, after returning to China, they found that Lao Tzu had fought hard for the United States on the front line, and when I came back, I was still inferior, I still couldn't even go into the white man's restaurant, and the salary and pension I got were much less than that of the white soldiers.

So when they arrived in Korea, they felt even more, who are we fighting for, and why are we fighting for this white man?

Many black soldiers had already developed such an idea, so in the course of the subsequent war, some black soldiers could not contribute to the work, and even the black soldiers of the whole company surrendered en masse many times.

Because for the blacks, they understand that I am not called surrender, I am called a new student, I am from a slave to a person, let's talk about it, white Soldiers in the United States, although there are also questions about who I am fighting for, but the good people white Americans are indeed the ruling class of this country, the United States is strong, and the ordinary white people in the United States are also honored.

Therefore, it is unlikely that white People in the United States will mutiny, but black Americans, that is really a class of enslaved and oppressed, especially after World War II, the world set off a wave of anti-imperialism and anti-colony, a large number of former colonies have become independent into emerging countries, such a trend of thought has also been transmitted to black soldiers.

Let them feel that our ancestors were captured from Africa to the United States, we now have nominal citizenship rights in the United States, in fact there is no citizenship rights at all, why do we fight for white people, so there are a large number of black soldiers mutiny, collective surrender.

As soon as the U.S. military saw this situation, how can this work, you fight this battle again, the black soldiers have surrendered, and the remaining white people can't fight, so from that time on, the U.S. army was forced to do this black and white mix.

At the beginning, the US Navy and Air Force engaged in black and white mixing, because relatively speaking, the Navy and the Air Force are both technical branches, and people with technology and learning will be relatively tolerant and less likely to engage in racial discrimination.

However, the U.S. Army is still the same as before, resolutely not allowing black and white mixing, until Eisenhower became the president of the United States, felt that the situation is not good, and no longer mix your black soldiers all mutinied, so they forced the U.S. Army to push black and white mixed, let's talk about it, if it were not for the Korean War, then it is not possible to say that today, the U.S. army is still black and white or white.
