There is a saying on the Internet: in the United States, white people discriminate against black people, and black people discriminate against yellow people. There is no doubt that this statement is full of one-sidedness, but we do see many times in the news such as black women abusing Asian students on buses, unemployed black people pushing Asian women off the subway and dying, and so on.
Does a group that has experienced discrimination really turn around and discriminate against another group? Why do some blacks discriminate against Asians? Take a look at some of the real answers on the U.S. Zhihu Quora.
1) They're racists; they're not very smart; they blame other people (in this case, Asians); they justify this biased belief by taking one or a few bad experiences with Asians; they're jerks.
2) Because unfortunately, ignorance and racism are not unique to Whites. Black people can also be racist.
3) Because Asians have opened stores in black communities, they have reacted quickly and have had great success in running these stores.
4) African-Americans tend to make masculinity an important value (at least among men), and sadly, many Asian men seem to fall into the opposite range and are therefore good targets for African Americans.
5) Blacks are taught from an early age that the world is a hostile place because their parents were taught the same thing from an early age. For generations, the only treatment known to blacks was hostility and hatred. Before that, they were also busy with tribal warfare and survival of the fittest in the African bush. So it's clear that not many blacks have good role models. Their view of the world is skewed because their race has historically suffered the most brutal human abuse.
Asians, on the other hand, have a rich history. China, Japan and India have the greatest civilizations in the world, and Asians are busy educating and trying to start a business. I'm reluctant to use the word jealousy.
6) Racial tensions between blacks and Asians are more prevalent in some parts of the United States, but this is mainly due to cultural differences, and in fact, southeast asians and South Asians are very similar in skin color to blacks.
Not all blacks are racists against Asians, depending on what they think of Asians, on how ignorant and stereotyped they are.
7) I'm Asian and live in a predominantly black community where we're very kind most of the time and don't bother anyone, but the neighbors hate us because we're Asain! I have a nephew of half Black blood, and the Negro treats him like some kind of plague! I believe some blacks may be extreme racists, against anything that isn't black.

I'm black, and so is my family and most of my friends. I can tell you that we're not going to sit down and discuss Asians. I think most blacks recognize that Asians are docile, so there's no need to be hostile to them. If black people were to consider another racial/ethnic group, it would be white, not Asian.
