In the past decade, Feng Yingying has gone from different roles of workplace novices and designers to business managers, and her identity and concepts have also inadvertently undergone various twists. In Feng Yingying's view, as a commercial designer, there is still social value, and there is something of self-achievement and satisfaction. Sometimes designers are more like a doctor, and our existence is to solve problems rather than realize ourselves.

In Feng Yingying's design "Jimeisha", the project is located in a bustling commercial environment and aims to provide quality services to female customers. In the design process, it is not only the visual effects of the space that should be considered, but also the yearning for a quiet and comfortable space for customers when they are in it. All along, the space for women has been very one-sided, which has produced a lot of spaces that look beautiful but are very negative.

"I want our project space to be completely open, free, safe and comfortable. Whether it's a young girl, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a queen in the workplace... Life can change, but Feng Yingying seems that the space still has to have that little "breath", if the "breath" is gone, I think there is no difference between the value of the whole space and other commodities, it is a cold fast food.

When Feng Yingying entered the design industry in the early days, she would be attracted by the design techniques and pursue the beauty of the space and the visual presentation of the surface. At that time, she also continued to learn the designs of many outstanding contemporary design masters, but at that time, she understood the works and designs of the masters purely from the technical level or from the aesthetic level, but its social background, historical background, and cultural background were actually divorced from reality. If we can't understand the real reason for its occurrence, their use status and social benefits are unknown. Looking back, Feng Yingying felt that the design produced at that time was actually very fragile.

Slowly, in the process of her career, Feng Yingying has a deeper understanding of design: from understanding things to understanding people, she began to pay attention to "universal" things, and cared for cities, society and people in many ways and dimensions. Design is the embodiment of a person's values and philosophical views, the purpose of design is not the designer's self-expression, the value of our work is to find problems, understand problems and solve problems. "Set" is not a flower fist embroidery leg, not the icing on the cake, but should be a charcoal in the snow.

"Pure things can impress me, but I know that life itself is not like this. If you want to be a particularly pure person, it is difficult to survive in this society; if you want to be a particularly extreme person, it is still difficult to be truly inclusive with this society. If my projects can create more possibilities for more people, provide a sense of inclusion, make design richer and more diverse, and become a more vital existence, then this is also the essence of design." Feng Yingying said.

Designers should all have values. First of all, there is a bottom line, which is untouchable, in fact, it is also very easy to achieve. And Feng Yingying's bottom line is to take people as the core. She hopes that everything she makes, whether it is space or shape, should be meaningful and valuable to future users.

As early as many years ago, Feng Yingying did an American-style private home project with Chinese style. The owner is a long-term resident of the United States, and there have been new changes in living habits and aesthetics. In addition, the owners have a villa in the United States and Anning, so the design requirements for the new house are relatively high. After reading the first draft of Feng Yingying's design, the owner did not give too much advice, but gave her the information and pictures of the two villas, and re-conceptually designed the house without charging any fees. Although Feng Yingying felt that there was no drama at that time, out of the attitude of doing the best thing, she decided to do her best to fight for it. In the end, the "Story of Time" project was born.

Feng Yingying's initial excitement and starting point for design came from her father, with the inheritance and thoughts of her father's career, integrating human emotions into the space itself. Whether it is a father, a mother, a child, or an elderly person in it, they can meet their life needs, feel comfortable and comfortable, and maximize the value of people and space, which is also the biggest feature of design itself that Feng Yingying understands.

To some extent, design is to redistribute human needs at the spatial level, whether it is a big data-based machine, or a designer based on experience and experience, the most important thing is to reconstruct a set of resource configuration rules, so as to be realized in a certain space.

In Feng Yingying's view, designers not only have to solve the problems to be solved at the technical level, but also take into account the overall consideration of the entire project, and sometimes the role will become a spokesperson or appealer for the user, and provide some of the user's appeals and ideas to some more professional exits in the interior, curtain wall, and lighting. Through reverse thinking, we constantly propose some different ways of solving problems than traditional ideas, thus providing a variety of jumps, but it will bring a lot of completely different perspectives to the design.

As a "desperate three brides", Feng Yingying used to feel that designers start from individuals and need self-acceptance and self-satisfaction, but now she has a clearer understanding of her career and long-term planning, or an ideal state that she wants to achieve, is to build a team. I think that a team and a collective can complete a business, and it is impossible to rely on the strength of one person alone. "This is not a production team, it is more important to the original intention of the design, and to play to their own strengths at the right time."

The reason why a team can be together is that the core lies in the unity of values. This value is definitely not an aesthetic unity. Aesthetics should be full of flowers, and at a certain point in time and in a certain period of time, there can be changes and differences. The value of design is the judgment and recognition of the value of design, the core of design is the optimization and utilization of social resources, and it is hoped that through the design process to seek a balance point, both the interests of the owners, but also to achieve some public spaces in society and some needs of citizens.

Looking back on the 10 years of work, there has also been a change in role positioning. At the beginning, it was just a profession, after all, it was easy for designers to solve the most basic food and clothing. However, if the design industry wants to be rich and expensive, it is actually unlikely, and at a certain time, there must be a value appeal outside the material and above the spirit, otherwise there is no way to insist on doing this industry.

"As a woman, it is essential for me to achieve spiritual freedom and independence. I think that the value of the self does not need the recognition of others, not to like things and not to be sad with themselves, but to design in terms of design, in order not to follow the tide, in order to see the truth in the subtleties."

Design can be the seed of reason, giving birth to sensual flowers.
