Chongwu Ancient City
Chongwu Ancient City, bordering the Taiwan Strait, is the most complete T-shaped stone masonry ancient city in China, and is also a relatively complete historical site in the history of China's coastal defense, which is a "national key cultural relics protection unit". In addition, Chongwu Ancient City was also the stronghold of Zheng Chenggong's army to regain Taiwan with its army in Dongdu, and it was also one of the main settlements of the famous Hui'an women in China and abroad.
Flower Lane Catholic Church
Built in 1926, the church is located in Quanzhou Flower Lane and is said to be the only pink Catholic church in the world, with a typical Gothic architectural style.
Under the blue sky, the pink façade here, with the perennial blooming thorn trees, attracts many tourists to take photos and punch cards.
Kaiyuan Temple
"Outside the long pavilion, beside the ancient road, the grass is green and the sky..." This popular "Farewell" is from the hand of Master Hongyi (Li Shutong) of Quanzhou Kaiyuan Temple. Therefore, Kaiyuan Temple must be the most memorable place in Quanzhou. Not only that, Kaiyuan Temple is also the largest Buddhist temple in Fujian Province and a national key cultural relics protection unit.
Luoyang Bridge
Luoyang Bridge, known as "Wan'an Bridge" in the early years, is the earliest existing era of the mainland a large stone bridge across the sea beam, one of the four famous bridges in ancient China, and was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit.
Built during the Northern Song Dynasty, the bridge is 834 meters long and has 9 stone towers on both sides of the bridge. Mao Yisheng, a famous bridge expert in the mainland, once commented: Luoyang Bridge is the leader of Fujian bridges, which has opened up a new era for bridge technology.
Qingjing Temple
Located in Tumen Street, Quanzhou City, Qingjing Temple, founded in 1009 AD, is the oldest surviving Islamic temple founded by Arab Muslims in China, listed by the State Council as one of the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units, and is also one of the important historical sites of Quanzhou's overseas exchanges.
Qingyuan Mountain
Qingyuan Mountain is a landmark attraction in Quanzhou, one of the eighteen scenic spots in Quanzhou, which is composed of three major areas: Qingyuan Mountain, Nine Days Mountain and Lingshan Holy Sepulchre. The statue of Lao Jun on Qingyuan Mountain is a national key protected cultural relic and a unique artistic treasure among Chinese Taoist stone carvings. The stone statue is 5.63 meters high, making it the largest and oldest Surviving Taoist stone statue in China.
Tianhou Temple
Founded in the second year of the Song Dynasty, Quanzhou Tianhou Temple is the only Tianhou Temple among the national key cultural relics protection units, and has always been considered to be the temple with the highest architectural specifications and the largest scale at home and abroad to worship Mazu.
Quanzhou Tianhou Temple sits north and faces south, and the overall layout is symmetrical in the courtyard. She witnessed the formation and development of the Mazu faith along with the marine trade, and also witnessed the development of the commercial urban area in southern Quanzhou under the influence of marine trade.
Confucian temple
Quanzhou Confucian Temple was founded in the last year of the Tang Dynasty, is a collection of Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties architectural form of confucius temple complex, the layout is symmetrical, the building is beautiful, is the largest temple complex in Fujian.
The main building of the Temple of Literature, Dacheng Hall, has 7 wide rooms, a wooden structure of bucket arch lifting beams, supported by 48 white stone pillars, and 8 relief dragon eaves columns on the front, which is simple in style and is very rare in the existing temples of literature in the country.
Quanzhou Confucian Temple
West Street
West Street is the earliest developed street and area in Quanzhou, and it is also the most complete preserved ancient block in Quanzhou City, preserving a large number of buildings with historical original appearance, half fireworks, half human.
West Street connects many splendid and colorful cultural relics since the Tang and Song dynasties in Quanzhou, as well as the ancient houses of the ancient streets, as well as the famous and anecdotes and folklore attached to them, and truly records the vicissitudes of Quanzhou City over the past century.
Quanzhou West Street
