On January 10, the supervision and law enforcement personnel of the Tuanfeng County Fire Rescue Brigade found during the supervision and inspection that the newly built office building of a feed company in Tuanfeng County was built with foam color steel plates.
Once the sandwich color steel plate produced with polystyrene foam is on fire, the foam burns in the middle, and the fire extinguisher and water cannot extinguish the fire, and the polystyrene combustion will produce a large amount of toxic smoke, which is very easy to cause casualties. And once the color steel plate building occurs, it will collapse in a short period of time, which will seriously affect the fire fighting and rescue, and also threaten the personal safety of the masses and fire rescue personnel.
According to Article 54 of the Fire Protection Law and Articles 22 and 23 of the Provisions on Fire Supervision and Inspection, the supervision and law enforcement personnel temporarily sealed them in accordance with the law, and at the same time explained the recent severe fire situation to the person in charge of the enterprise, explained in detail the fire resistance performance of the foam color steel plate and the serious consequences of the fire, and publicized the knowledge of relevant laws and regulations. Under the patient education and persuasion of fire supervision and law enforcement personnel, the person in charge of the enterprise actively cooperated and said that he would immediately take rectification actions to dismantle all the foam color steel plate houses by themselves and completely eliminate the fire hazards.
On January 17, after preliminary rectification, the company dismantled the office building of foam color steel plate built by itself and applied to lift the temporary seizure, and the fire department lifted it according to law. The person in charge of the enterprise said that he himself knew that the foam color steel plate was not safe, but considering the low price of materials and the convenience of construction, so he "took risks", and through the investigation and punishment of his own deep education, he also eliminated the safety hazards for the enterprise.
