Zhang Liying, born in 1906 in Paris, France, was the father of the famous Zhang Jingjiang, the brother of Sun Yat-sen, and the first elder of the Kuomintang. It is not difficult to see how strong the strength of Zhang Liying's family is, influenced by Chinese and Western education, Zhang Liying has become a famous lady who knows both home and abroad and knows how to read and reason.
Zhang Liying herself is interested in painting this piece, and for this reason, the family has not created conditions for her. Zhang Liying received painting education in Paris, New York and Shanghai, and at the age of 24, she also participated in the Paris Autumn Salon, the world's largest comprehensive art exhibition that year.
On the achievements, Zhang Liying is undoubtedly the first female painter in China. While in Paris, Zhang Became Acquainted with Chen Youren, a former foreign minister of the Nationalist government who had taken refuge in France. Perhaps because there are too few Chinese men around Zhang Liying, when she first met Chen Youren, Zhang Liying was attracted by his conversation and soon fell in love, and Zhang Liying even proposed to marry Chen Youren.
The move was quickly opposed by his father, Zhang Jingjiang, who, although he was a member of the Nationalist government, was 31 years older than Zhang Liying, who was about the same age as Zhang Jingjiang. Accepting a person who is about the same age as his son-in-law, Zhang Jingjiang will not agree.
However, women in the Republic of China period, the stubbornness of actively pursuing happiness is beyond people's imagination. In 1930, the 24-year-old Zhang Liying resolutely married Chen Youren despite her father's objections, and the two held a simple wedding in Paris. After that, Zhang Liying returned to China with Chen Youren.
Unfortunately, the good times did not last long, and the two spent ten years in Hong Kong. In 1941, the Japanese army occupied Hong Kong, and the two were arrested by the Japanese army because of their special status. After moving to Shanghai, the Japanese army repeatedly forced Chen Youren to join Wang Jingwei's Japanese puppet government, but was strictly rejected by him. There was really no way, and the Japanese army had to put the two under house arrest.
During his house arrest, Chen Youren died of heart failure in 1944, failing to see the dawn of victory in the War of Resistance. Zhang Liying lasted until the end of the War of Resistance, and after Chen Youren's death, she no longer cared about it, left Shanghai, a sad place, and went to Singapore to settle down.
During her time in Singapore, Zhang Liying regained her dream of painting. After experiencing all kinds of things, Zhang Liying's painting skills have become more and more superb, and she has even become one of the "six pioneer painters in Singapore". He also lived until 1993, at the age of 87.
Before dying, a Singapore reporter asked Zhang Liying what was the biggest regret in this life, and Zhang Liying said bluntly, "The biggest regret is that I have only lived with my lover Chen Youren for more than ten years." The eyes were full of love, but unfortunately Chen Youren couldn't see it.
For Zhang Liying, who lived 87 years old, ten years of married life is indeed like a white colt, but it is enough to see that it is Zhang Liying's most comfortable time. It is no wonder that Zhang Liying never married anyone else after that, and most of her works for the rest of her life are still the appearance of Chen Youren before he died.
