In the fourth year of Tianyou (907), Zhu Wen could not wait to seize the throne of the Tang Emperor through the form of Zen Rang, and called himself emperor, with the founding name of Liang and the historical title of "Later Liang".
In order to successfully seize the throne, Zhu Wen was very cruel and murderous, in order to empty the Tang Emperor, Zhu Wen once killed all the more than two hundred people around the emperor, not only that, Zhu Wen later killed Tang Zhaozong and Tang Ai emperor, and his heart was fierce.
In the first year of Tianyou (904), Zhu Wen wanted to take Tang Zhaozong to Luoyang and control him, fearing that the Tang ministers would oppose him, so he ordered his adopted son Zhu You to forgive Tang Zhaozong's edict and kill the chancellor Cui Yin, Jing Zhaoyin Zheng Yuangui and others, and then, on the table, asked Tang Zhaozong to go to Luoyang, Tang Zhaozong saw Zhu Wen's posture, did not dare to oppose, and had to obey.
At this point, Zhu Wen began to toss and turn, and he ordered the demolition of the Chang'an Palace, and the wood floated down the Wei River to build an imperial palace in Luoyang. When Tang Zhaozong arrived in Luoyang, tang ting's six army guards were gone, and at this time, Tang Zhaozong's guards and people in the palace were all sent by Zhu Wen. Zhu Wen wanted to completely control the emperor, in fact, the emperor at this time was already a decoration.
On Tang Zhaozong's way from Chang'an to Luoyang, Tang Zhaozong still had his own people by his side, a total of more than two hundred people, but Zhu Wen was not at ease, worried that the situation would change, and ordered that all two hundred people around the emperor be killed, or even buried alive. Then, replaced by two hundred people of about the same age and height, at first, Tang Zhaozong did not pay attention, and later found out that they were all Zhu Wen's cronies.
The "Old Five Dynasties History Taizu Ji II" records: At that time, Emperor Zhaozong only had a small yellow gate and a ball offering, and more than 200 children in the inner garden, and the emperor was jealous of it. On the same day, the secret order of the medical officer Xu Zhaoyuan to change, but set up a meal in the other place, summoned and killed, all under the curtain. First, more than 200 people were selected, and the shape and size were the same as those of the characters in the inner garden, so that one person could capture two people and hang them in the pit, that is, they would be dressed in clothes and armor. Emperor Zhaozong could not distinguish at first, but after a long time, he looked at it. Since then, before and after Emperor Zhaozong, all liang people are.
The emperor did not have a single person of his own around him, completely lost his autonomy, and Zhu Wen's appetite was greatly opened, and he further seized greater authority.
In August of the first year of Tianyou (904), Zhu Wen instructed Zhu Yougong of the Left Dragon Wu Commandery, Shu Chun and Jiang Xuanhui of the Right Dragon Wu Commandery to enter the palace at night, and on the pretext of playing a role, led his troops into the Inner Palace, first killing Tang Zhaozong's harem Lady Pei Zhenyi, and then, killing Tang Zhaozong, who was wearing a single robe and running around the pillars in the palace, but was quickly chased and killed, at the age of thirty-eight.
Zhu Wen killed Tang Zhaozong and made Tang Zhaozong's thirteen-year-old son Li Li emperor, that is, Emperor Ai of Tang, but soon, Zhu Wen could not wait and forced Emperor Chan of Tang to give way, and after Zhu Wen seized the throne, he killed Emperor Tang.
In April of the fourth year of Tianyou (907), Zhu Wen accepted the throne of Emperor Ai of Tang through persecution, and declared himself emperor, and he changed his name to Zhu Huang and the national name of Daliang. Zhu Wen deposed the seventeen-year-old Emperor Of Tang as the King of Jiyin and moved to Cao Prefecture to imprison Jiyin. But even so, Zhu Wen did not let him go, and in February of the following year, Zhu Wen killed Emperor Tang.
In this way, Zhu Wen usurped Tang and destroyed the Tang Dynasty, but Zhu Wen did not have a good end later, was killed by his own son, the sword came out of his back, and died a very tragic death, which was also retribution!
