When northerners first come to Jiangnan in winter, almost everyone stares at you with deceived eyes and says, Why is it so cold? Why are you so cold here? People's illusion of winter in Jiangnan comes from nowhere, just as when I went north to study, my family was worried about whether I could withstand the cold in the north, and one day in November, I found that the radiator of the dormitory toilet on the campus of Beijing Normal University was also buzzing, which made my fear of the harsh winter disappear.
I remember winter was always cold. The northwest wind whistled outside the window for three consecutive days, and the coldest part of winter came. Mother took the cotton clothes of a family of six out of the camphor wood box, the cotton clothes, cotton shoes, hats, scarves of the six people, whether you like it or not, we must wear winter clothes that smell of camphor wood, whether you like it or not, you must go to the street to welcome the arrival of winter.
Winter came, and people on both sides of the street closed the wooden doors that had been opened in the other three seasons, and a street that had no secrets had to reveal its mysterious face. Indoors and outdoors are actually just as cold, and idle people are basking in the open space. This is about the weather of the sun, but many days in winter are actually cloudy, the air is humid, the sky is lead gray, everything seems to be brewing a bigger conspiracy about the cold, and the weather forecast of cable broadcasting confirms this conspiracy again and again, and the broadcaster does not know where to hide in a calm tone to tell everyone that the strong cold air of Siberia is going south and reaching the Jiangnan region tomorrow.
The streets are clean in winter, there is hardly any garbage such as melon peels and fruit shells on the ground, and the smell of industrial exhaust in the air is also blown far away by the wind, so I think I can smell myself in winter when I open my nostrils. The smell of winter may not be a smell, it is clear and pure, and sometimes brings sour stimulation to the nasal cavity. There is thick ice in the potholes on the street, especially in the days after the snow, passers-by like to tie a straw rope to the sole of the rubber shoe to prevent slipping, and the children use the ice and snow on the road to find fun for themselves, they wear cotton shoes to skate over the frozen road, thinking that it is called skating.
There is a proverb in Gangnam that when it rains, the snow dogs rejoice. I don't know what the basis is, we have very few people on the street to keep dogs, I can't see what special performance dogs have in the rain and snow, I always feel that this proverb is more suitable for children, children's mood in winter is bitter and lonely, but a heavy snow often suddenly changes the nature of winter tedium and difficulty, after the snow children rush out of the house and rush out of school, just like rock star Cui Jian sang in the song, they want to sprinkle some wild in the snow, to create a festival for themselves.
The snowmelt weather was repulsive, the sun was shining high, but the whole world was wet, and the ice on the eaves was always dripping water on the street without hurrying. The road was black and white, the sewage on the ground was quietly flowing into the manhole, and the remaining snow was still stubbornly resisting, and the streets were like war had just passed, a mess, and they hated the housewives who were too diligent, and when the weather was just clear, they hurriedly hung out their clothes, sheets, diapers and other things, and a white street was so messed up.
Winter is mixed around the time of heavy snow, or just before and after heavy snowfall, Jiangnan folk proverb says that the dirty winter solstice is clean, saying that it is willing to sacrifice a winter solstice, but also a clean spring festival without rain and snow. People's demands are often met by the heavenly gods, I remember that the streets of the winter solstice are always muddy, Jiangnan people regard the winter solstice as a festival, every household has to drink some wine, eat some yokan, and do not know where the source is. Once I carried a bottle to the grocery store to get a drink, smelled the wine was really fragrant, and secretly drank a few sips on the road, and came home with red ears and red ears, and the back of the cotton coat was splashed with sludge, and I was reprimanded by my mother fiercely. Now I don't remember whether my mother scolded me for the wine in my mouth or scolded me for not making the new cotton clothes so dirty, anyway, I felt wronged, I went into the room and sat on the bed, and unconsciously the wine came up, and I fell asleep on the bed.
Everyone says gangnam is good, but no one says that winter in Gangnam is good.
I don't like winter, but when I remembered one winter before, walking on the way to school with my neck shrunk, and suddenly I heard the sound of silk strings coming from the tea house on our street, and I walked over and saw the steaming heat behind the window glass, a group of elderly men sitting behind the greasy tea table, each holding a cup of hot tea, and listening to a man and a woman's commentary, it didn't look cold at all, I thought, these old guys, they were happy with themselves, and now I still remember the warm scene of this winter, I want to spend the winter like this Winter is a bit interesting.
