In October 1983, Shen Zui received a letter from the General Office of the Central Committee inviting him to attend a forum of non-party figures, during which he received a letter from Guizhou.
The letter was sent by Han Zidong from Guizhou, and in addition to the necessary greetings, Han Zidong also specifically proposed: "I am very interested in the "My Thirty Years" that you wrote, because Guizhou Xinhua Bookstore cannot buy it, and I want you to send a copy. ”
After Shen Drunk received the letter, the whole person was blinded.
In the minds of all the Chinese people, Han Zidong is a rather legendary figure, he is the prototype of the "crazy old man" Hua Ziliang in "Red Rock".
Han Zidong joined the Communist Party of China in 1932, was ordered to lurk in the Kuomintang secret service organization "Blue Cloth Society", a few years later the Beiping underground party organization was destroyed, Han Zidong was unfortunately arrested, under the severe torture of the enemy, Han Zidong never said a word, was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Kuomintang authorities, after the outbreak of the War of Resistance, Han Zidong and others were transferred to guizhou Xifeng concentration camp for detention, and in 1946 transferred to the White Mansion.

Although he has been in prison for many years, Han Zidong has never forgotten to escape, and according to the plan of the party organization in prison, he must strive for a collective escape as much as possible, and it is really impossible to consider escaping alone.
In preparation for the next action, Han Zidong had to exercise every day, first running back and forth along the "figure 8 line" in the cell, and then constantly running in circles during the windproof, in order to paralyze the secret agent, Han Zidong deliberately pretended to be stupid, the whole person was disheveled, the agent thought that he had been locked up for many years, so he was assured and bold to use him to do things, and sometimes ordered him to buy things at the porcelain mouth.
On August 18, 1947, Han Zidong once again went to Ciqikou to buy something, and took advantage of the fact that the agents were not paying attention, fled all the way to the Jialing River, and escaped to the Liberated Area by a small boat.
In January 1948, after a review by the party organization, Han Zidong, who had been imprisoned for 14 years, regained his party membership, and when the comrade in charge of the Central Organization Department asked him what he wanted, Han Zidong only replied:
"I only hope to live a few more decades, to see the collapse of the Chiang family dynasty and to see the construction of socialism."
For Han Zidong, of course, Shen Drunk is familiar, in fact, just after liberation, Shen Drunk also wrote a letter of testimony for Han Zidong, proving that he had no experience of rebellion in prison, although the two intersected at that time, but did not face each other.
Until a few decades later, Shen Drunk received a letter from Han Zidong again, seeing Han Zidong's request, Shen Drunk quickly took "My Thirty Years" from the bookshelf at home, put it in a large envelope, and personally wrote a reply letter, at the end of the letter, Shen Drunk wrote this sentence:

Even so, Han Zidong did not blame Shen drunk in the slightest.
"There is no need to mention the past, if you come to Guizhou, I will personally go to the station to greet you, the revolution has no priority, I hope to see more of your works."
Seeing the phrase "revolution has no priority", the intoxicated heart is difficult to describe in words:
"What a kind of heart, a Communist Party member who was destroyed by the enemy and escaped death, and who turned back to those who persecuted him in those years and uttered these five brilliant words, this is not only a personal forgiveness for me, but also a deeply rooted in the hearts of the people of the party's policy toward the enemy in the past."
