On January 17, SAIC Volkswagen's new Lingdu L model was officially unveiled, and the Lingdu L online nickname voting was launched at the same time, and the final official nickname will be announced on the day of listing. As a replacement model, the new Lingdu L adopts a more personalized design language, while lengthening the body size, and is still equipped with a 1.4T high-power engine in terms of power. It is reported that the new car will be officially launched in March 2022.
In terms of appearance, the overall change of the new Lingdu L is larger, the front face part adopts a more radical design style, the traditional central network is replaced by a penetrating LED light strip, the two sides of the headlight group shape is very exaggerated, and the interior is equipped with circular LED daytime running lights. The interior of the large-mouth lower grille is decorated with dot matrix elements, which has a strong visual impact.
The side is still stylized with a coupe-inspired body design, with the iconic bezel-less doors and hatchback-style open trunk. The new Lingdu L has a wheelbase of 4784mm/1831mm/1469mm and a wheelbase of 2731mm, which is 75mm more than the old model. Unlike the low front, the rear has a significantly higher visual center of gravity and more angular edges. The new Lingdu L uses a through-line LED taillight cluster similar to that of Tiguan X and provides a metal exhaust decoration with a total of two sides.
In terms of interior, the new Lingdu L returns to tradition, adopts the latest design style of the Volkswagen family, and the full LCD instrument and the central control screen form a dual screen layout, with a simple center console and a lever shift mechanism, and the scientific and technological atmosphere is full.
In terms of power, the new Lingdu L will continue to be equipped with the EA211 series 1.4T high-power engine, with a maximum power of 150 horsepower and a maximum torque of 250 Nm, and the transmission system matches a 7-speed dry dual-clutch transmission. The new car accelerates 8.5 seconds per 100 kilometers, and the WLTC has a combined fuel consumption of 5.92 liters per 100 kilometers.
