Penicillin was formed in 2012, disbanded in 2014 and returned in 2017. In 2018, he won the China Rock Midi Award for Best Rock Newcomer of the Year, and in 2019, he participated in the program "Summer of the Band". The band is named after penicillin, a human wound healing drug, as a metaphor for music that can heal trauma; the band is young but mature and has potential, the music is independent rock, the mood is changeable, the melody is pleasant, and the live performance is exaggerated and manic.
Invited to participate in the Rolling Stones 40 "Rolling Stones" music flip project, selected wu Bai's 1996 work "Summer Night Wind", the original work is a lyrical slow song with the piano as the main instrument. Penicillin murmurs with acoustic guitar accompaniment to the lead singer, the strings are responsible for the mid and high frequencies, and the vocals are responsible for the low and medium frequencies, full and good. Participated in the Rolling Stones 40 "Rolling Stones Band 40 Group Fight Classics" music flip project, and the Little Boy Orchestra selected the song "Homecoming" debut work of Shunzi. Different from the original piano, acoustic guitar, string acoustic and bel canto arrangement, the little boy uses an electric guitar and a small drum to adapt the prelude to open the song, and interprets the homecoming feelings of lyrical rock in a minor key.
The lead singer's thick voice appears to be emotional and full of power. A duo founded in Taipei in 2017. Released EP in 2019 and debut album in 2020, Mong Tong music is based on sampling and psychedelic, often using spatial effects to play, and the style of psychedelic mystery also has religious overtones such as local temple fairs.
The very distinctive music allowed them to boldly adapt Wu Bai's grievances when they participated in the classic replay of the "Rolling Stones 40 project". They invited Lily Lin Yishuo to sing, so that the music was full of folk colors of the ancient tunes of opera, electronic synthesizers, guitar residual sound effects and sampling rhythms, making the music full of psychedelic, experimental and artistic. The rhythm is similar to the original song, but the timbre and style are very different, creating a unique adaptation. And this kind of music is also very close to the seven tones and eight tones of Hokkien, forming a unique local emotion.
