Gong Baotian learned martial arts from a very young age. He was talented and very perceptive, and with his diligent study and hard work, the master valued him very much. Soon he organized ten folk boxing clubs and cultivated many descendants of the Bagua Palm. But his boxing club was different from ordinary boxing clubs, and he paid great attention to the moral education of martial artists while teaching his disciples, and valued character. He often taught his disciples the idea of patriotism.
Then, during the Period of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Xu Shiyou, a shaolin master who was then appointed as a senior general of our army, served as the commander-in-chief of the Eighth Route Army in the Shandong region. I heard about the name of Master Gong Baochun very early on, and I went to worship him. In 1943, Gong Baochun, a martial arts master of the generation, died of illness in his hometown at the age of 72.
