Lin Gang, chairman of the Guangdong Literary and Art Critics Association and professor at Sun Yat-sen University, shared the impact of the eastward shift of the economic center of the Central Plains region on the eastward movement of the South-South South-North Passage in the history of the mainland, and the process of Shaoguan's rise to become a developed economic and cultural place in Guangdong, and believed that it was precisely because of the promotion of commercial and economic forces that Zhang Jiuling's move to excavate Meiguan, and Shaoguan also prospered and developed, becoming the "land gateway" of Lingnan.

Zeng Yingfeng, a famous writer and former chairman of the Guangzhou Civic Writers association, combined with the record in the late Ming Dynasty scholar Qu Dajun's "Guangdong New Language" that "my hometown is looking forward to traveling, and its hometown comes from Nanxiong Zhujie Lane", he believes that Shaoguan is not inferior in culture compared with the Pearl River Delta, "I think Shaoguan is the spiritual origin of the People of Guangfu." Huang Miaozhang, a famous archaeologist and president of the Institute of History of the Guangdong Provincial Research Museum of Culture and History, said that Shaoguan has a rich historical background and a collection of humanities, and the beginning of Guangdong's history should start from the Maba people of Shaoguan 130,000 years ago, and Shaoguan also has a large number of historical and cultural relics protection units, suggesting that Shaoguan should increase publicity and strengthen the development and utilization of red sites.
Wang Shaoming, a professor in the Department of Musicology of Xinghai Conservatory of Music, said that Shaoguan got its name from Emperor Shun's southern tour and playing Shao music, and Shaoguan can be called the "root of music" in Lingnan. In recent years, Shaoguan City has been committed to inheriting and promoting the "Shao culture", taking the "perfect" Shaole as the spiritual core, constantly polishing the "Shanmei Shaoguan" brand, and also laying a solid foundation for the activation and utilization of "Shaole" and innovative development.
