The MX30 extended-range version will be equipped with a single-rotor engine with a displacement of 0.333L, which may be a bit exaggerated. In fact, the RX-8 of that year was equipped with a 1.3L rotor engine, but the performance was comparable to the 3.9L model, which was the innate advantage of the rotor engine. By analogy, the range effect of this 0.333L engine is probably equivalent to a 1.0L engine.

So although the rotor engine has lowered the weight and lowered the engine displacement, the fuel consumption does not seem to be better than that of the same class. Consumers look at the "curative effect", look at better power, lower fuel consumption, more worry-free and durable, and the rotor does not seem to stick to this aspect.
