Due to the large cost of seeing a doctor and taking medicine before his death, Puyi almost had nothing after his death, leaving his wife with only the copy of "The First Half of My Life", but Li Shuxian later obtained a valuable inheritance. Because the actual writer was someone else, Lee Shu-hyun fought for decades for this inheritance, and finally became the legal heir to the copyright in 1996.
