In fact, before accepting this blockade task, the Eighth Company had been fighting continuously for more than a month, and in the process of many fierce battles with the enemy, it was seriously reduced, and it was unable to replenish its troops in time, and the initial 120 people were now only one-third left.
However, at the moment of the great enemy, no matter how great the difficulties, we must resist them, and company commander Guo Enzhi called on 40 commanders and fighters to carry forward the spirit of "not being afraid of death and not being afraid of suffering" and resolutely completing the task of blocking the attack.

Sure enough, it wasn't long before more than 200 enemies were seen climbing up from the mountain pass.

Night fell, and the American troops, who were afraid of night combat and close combat, did not dare to move again and retreated to camp at the bottom of the mountain.
