EA has removed 5 Need for Speed games and plans to shut down their servers within three months.

Based on a post posted on Reddit's Need for Speed section, a member of the development team announced that starting today, the following five Need for Speed games will be removed from all digital marketplaces:
Need for Speed 10: Life and Death Cabengaya
Need for Speed 12: Infinity
Need for Speed 13: Shifting Speed
Need for Speed 15: Shift 2
Need for Speed 16: Outlaws
The in-game marketplace for the above games will be closed today and the server will be closed on August 31. After August 31st, these games can still be played offline as stand-alone games, but only if you have bought the games before or have a physical disc with them.
As of now, the above five NFS games have been removed from the Xbox and PS stores, but Steam has not been removed. So players who want to buy it now have to hurry.
The official explanation is:
"Retiring a game has never been easy, but we're now moving on to the future need for speed. Over the years, the development team and operations staff have invested a lot of time and effort in developing, creating, selling, and sustaining these games, and we're excited to see you playing them. But the number of players has reached a point where the behind-the-scenes work behind these games is unsustainable. ”
For this decision of the EA, many players are not satisfied. Some players have said that the decision was too abrupt and had to be notified a week in advance so that they could be purchased before they were removed.
In March of this year, the new need for Speed game was postponed by EA for a year, and the development team Crystal Games assisted DICE in the development of Battlefield 6. The new Need for Speed game will land on both new and used consoles and PCs.
