There is a rule that the Empress Shangyu of the Qing Dynasty generally adds the title of the emperor to the end of the title, such as Xiaozhuang Ren Xuancheng Xian Gongyi to Dechun Hui Yi Tianqi Shengwen Empress, and the word "Wen" at the end of the title is taken from the title of Emperor Taiji of the Qing Dynasty, and the Emperor Taiji is Emperor Taizong Wen. However, there was an empress in the Qing Dynasty who did not have the title of emperor, that is, the Manchu Qing imperial family did not recognize the legitimacy of this empress, and she was an empress of filial piety and respect.
Empress Xiaoxian Duanjing was a woman from Manchuria whose father was the Minister of the Interior, E shuo, which is only the official historical account. However, from some wild history rumors, this woman seems to have entered the palace as a "human woman", as for who her ex-husband is, the more circulating is Shunzhi's brother Xiang Prince Bomu Boguo'er, however, through relevant research, it was found that the Fu jin of Xiang Prince Bo mu Bo Guo'er was Empress Xiaozhuang's niece Borjigit, and he did not have a Fu Jin surnamed Dong E.
However, according to the records of the foreign missionary John Tang, Dong Eshi seems to be the wife of a Certain Manchu soldier, and in any case, the origin of this Imperial Princess of the Fallen City, who was favored by the young Tianzi, was indeed a little abnormal.
In August of the thirteenth year of Shunzhi, Dong E's first time as the Imperial Concubine of the Great Qing Dynasty appeared on the stage of history, shunzhi gave her the name of Xianfei, which was already a very remarkable title at that time, and, after only a little more than a month, Dong E's clan took two more steps further and directly sat on the seat of the imperial concubine, even in the entire history of the Great Qing Dynasty, it is also very rare, which shows how much Shunzhi should have loved Dong Eshi.
However, at that time, the harem of the Qing Dynasty was the domain of Mongolian women, and the favor of Dong E's clan made other concubines cast resentful eyes, and the pressure of Dong E's clan in the spotlight doubled, even if she gave birth to the "first son" (actually the fourth son of the emperor), she still did her best to handle everything in the harem. Empress Xiaozhuang was ill, and before she could sit on the confinement of the Dong Eshi clan, she waited by the side, Empress Xiaohui was sick, and the Dong Eshi clan also served with all her heart, and even the concubine who was two grades shorter than her was sick, and the Dong Eshi clan still took care of her.
After a long period of hard work, coupled with the death of Aiko, Dong E's support could not be continued, and the Imperial Princess of The Fallen City died in August of the seventeenth year of Shunzhi, at the age of 22.
After dong E's death, Shunzhi seemed to have lost his spiritual pillar, became delirious, and even wanted to become a monk, even if he was prevented, the young Tianzi still did not escape the erosion of smallpox disease, and died of illness in the Yangxin Hall in the eighteenth year of Shunzhi, at the age of 24.
The death of the Shunzhi Emperor made the Manchu Qing imperial family extremely resentful of the Dong E family, and at this time there was a need for a sacrifice to quell this resentment, and this person was the concubine. Zhenfei was a cousin of dong Eshi, and although she was summoned to the harem by the emperor, she was not favored, and after Shunzhi's death, Zhenfei bravely stood up and used her life to resolve the contradictions between the two major families. As a result, Zhenfei also became the last concubine in history to be martyred for the emperor.
Note: After the death of Dong E,shi (東鄂氏), Shunzhi gave her the title of Empress Xiaoxian Duanjing(孝献端敬皇后), and according to palace regulations, the Manchu Qing imperial family needed to give Dong E's shunzhi emperor the character "zhang" in his title, called Empress Xiaoxian Zhang. However, the kangxi, Yongzheng, and Qianlong who later succeeded to the throne did not act in any way, and as a result, Dong Eshi became the only empress of the Qing Dynasty without an emperor.
