On November 8, 2021, through the unified standard evaluation of 50 cars in the Chinese market by the organizing committee, the results of the "Heart of China" 2021 Top Ten Engine Selection were announced, including the latest hybrid system developed by three independent car companies and the new engines of four independent car companies, while SAIC-GM, Dongfeng Nissan and Hyundai Kia occupied three seats with their own 1.5T engines.
It is worth mentioning that among the independent brands selected for this year's list, 3 engines are equipped with hybrid systems, compared with only 1 last year. The 3 engines are: Geely Ray Divine Engine Hi · X hybrid system special engine DH15, Dongfeng Mach power MHD hybrid system, and Great Wall 1.5T lemon hybrid DHT system.

Compared with last year's selection results, the number of independent brand engines selected this year decreased by 1, and the number of joint venture brands increased by 1 accordingly. However, judging from the results of the selection of the top ten engines in the past 10 years, the number of independent brand engines as a whole shows an increasing trend year by year, and until this year's selection, it still maintains the leading edge of the joint venture brand.
