According to historical records, the ancient city of Shengjing was founded in 1625. In that year, Emperor Taiji ordered that the original Ming Dynasty "Ten" Street in the city be transformed into a "Jing" Street, and eight city gates were opened to connect with eight streets. Corner towers were built at all four corners of the city wall. At present, the only remaining one is the Northwest Corner Tower. After hundreds of years of vicissitudes, the northwest corner tower finally disappeared, leaving only a section of the wall on the northwest corner.
In May 2000, the Shenyang municipal government decided to restore the northwest corner tower. When archaeologists excavated the remnant wall, it was determined that the corner tower of the Qing Dynasty was rebuilt on the basis of the corner tower of the Zhongwei City in Shenyang in the Ming Dynasty, and the walls of the two periods coexisted. After the veins of the city wall were clarified, on August 1 of the same year, the restoration of the corner tower began, and on June 1, 2001, the main body of the corner tower civil engineering was completed.
After the restoration, the northwest corner tower covers an area of 717 square meters, the city wall is 3 stories high, and the corner tower on the city wall is also 3 stories high, which is a single-eaves mountain-style building. As an antique art building, the northwest corner tower perfectly presents the original style of Shenyang's ancient city.

Du Chongyuan, the founder of Zhaoxin Kiln, was an official student specializing in kiln industry at Tokyo Institute of Technology and was very successful in the porcelain industry. After returning to China in 1923, he established the first mechanism kiln factory in Northeast China in Shenyang.

Du Chongyuan invested 200,000 yuan in Ocean, plus the new share capital raised, built a new kiln with 18 barrels of red bricks, with the gradual expansion of the production scale of Zhaoxin Kiln Company, the capital developed from 100,000 to 400,000 yuan, the number of employees expanded from more than 100 to more than 1,000 people, and the products developed from firing building materials to the production of civil ceramics.
