Du Chongyuan, the founder of Zhaoxin Kiln, was an official student specializing in kiln industry at Tokyo Institute of Technology and was very successful in the porcelain industry. After returning to China in 1923, he founded the first mechanism kiln factory in Northeast China in Shenyang, and in 1927 he was appointed vice president of the Fengtian General Chamber of Commerce.

Du Chongyuan invested 200,000 yuan in Ocean, plus the new share capital raised, built a new kiln with 18 barrels of red bricks, with the gradual expansion of the production scale of Zhaoxin Kiln Company, the capital developed from 100,000 to 400,000 yuan, the number of employees expanded from more than 100 to more than 1,000 people, and the products developed from firing building materials to the production of civil ceramics.

Du Chongyuan: Patriotic youth industry to save the country
Du Chongyuan is a well-known patriotic democrat in China's modern history, and in 1915, Japan forced China to sign twenty-one unequal treaties. Du Chongyuan, who was 17 years old at the time, had just graduated from Fengtian Normal High School, and when he heard the news, he felt indignant.
Helplessly, his family was in a cold state, not only did he have no money to start a business, but he did not even have the cost of studying. Fortunately, the day paid off, and at this time, the Liaoning Provincial Government had a student aid program to send students to Japan to study industry.
After six years of professional study and field investigation, he systematically mastered the advanced practices of making porcelain and learned about the development situation of the porcelain industry.

However, the rumbling cannon of "9/18" completely shattered the national industrial dream of Du Chongyuan and Zhaoxin Kiln. After the Japanese army occupied Shenyang, it also occupied and annexed the Zhaoxin kiln industry.

After the "918", Du Chongyuan, on the recommendation of Song Ziwen, accepted the invitation of Xiong Shihui, chairman of the Jiangxi Provincial Government, to Jiangxi to help revitalize the Jingdezhen porcelain industry and establish the Jiangxi Pottery Industry Administration.
In September 1943, Du Chongyuan was secretly killed by the warlord Sheng Shicai at the age of 46.
