Nuclear carving is a handicraft carved from peach cores, apricot cores, olive cores and walnuts, and its history can be traced back to the Ming and Qing dynasties. Between the square inches, delicate and subtle, it is an outstanding representative of the art of micro-carving.
Since the Qianlong Dynasty, the Qing Dynasty has implemented the "one-port trade" policy, only the Guangdong Customs is retained, and the Guangzhou Thirteen Lines is the only dental line specializing in foreign trade, and nuclear carving is an important business category. It is precisely because of the export that most of these nuclear sculptures are made of Chinese and Western, and many are very exquisitely made.
Because I like this kind of age-related thing as always, nuclear sculpture is also a category of our family collection. Whenever I look at these pavilions and pavilions, the vivid characters can't help but sigh at the craftsmanship of the people at that time, and I don't dare to imagine how they did it.
What we got may be a few carvings, or it may be a string of beads, we collect them as raw materials, design them into unique jewelry, and give them new life.
