The last concubine of the Qing Dynasty with a courtesy name, she raised the only concubine princess of Qianlong and was favored by three generations of emperors

A nickname refers to a person's death, and the posterity gives or praises or disparages the evaluative text according to his life deeds. Of course, it does not mean that everyone can have a nickname after death, and only the big people are qualified. For example, in the harem of the emperor of the Qing Dynasty, the empress and the imperial concubine have a title after death, and some special concubines will also be given a title after death, these concubines, or are extremely favored by the emperor, or make great contributions to the imperial family, today we are going to talk about the last concubine of the Qing Dynasty who has a title: Chunyu Qinfei.

The Han army wrapped up to the palace maidens

Chunyu Qinfei Chen was a Han army flag wrapper, and her father was a second-class bodyguard, Chen Xiyi.

According to the "List of Incidents of the Eight Banners", the Chen clan was a Han Chinese surnamed Chen who returned from Haicheng during the Nurhaci period, and was compiled into the Yellow Banner Manchurian Clothing Cattle Record, and later belonged to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and became the Clothed Slaves.

In other words, there are two kinds of drafts in the Qing Dynasty, namely the Eight Flags Draft and the Palace Women's Draft.

The so-called Eight Flags Draft, once every three years, within the scope of the Eight Banners of Manchuria and Mongolia, the flag girls who meet the grades come to the capital to participate, and if they are selected by the emperor, they will be directly crowned as concubines. Usually, this kind of show girl has a good family background, a high starting point, and a bright future in the harem, as long as there is no big mistake, she can mix with a concubine or concubine or something, and if she is lucky, she can also be awarded a noble concubine, and even be made a queen.

The palace women's selection is different, the show girls are usually from the Ministry of Internal Affairs Three Banners (yellow, yellow, white) wrapped, these people have a general background, most of them will be filled with palace women after being selected, only a very few outstanding people will be introduced to the emperor and become the emperor's concubines.

As you can see, with the origin of Chunyu Qinfei Chen, she is not eligible to participate in the Eight Flags Draft, and can only participate in the Palace Girl Draft, that is to say, Chen Clan began her harem career as a palace girl at the beginning.

In the thirty-third year of the Kangxi Dynasty, Chen Shi, the daughter of the second-class bodyguard Chen Xiyi, entered the palace through the draft of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and became a palace maid.

From palace maidens to Kangxi darlings

In the middle and late Kangxi period, those concubines with higher ranks, such as the four concubines of Huiyi Derong, were no longer young, and Kangxi favored some young Han concubines, such as Shunyi Mifei (Wang Shi), who later gave birth to three princes, of course, Chen was also one of them.

Soon after Chen entered the palace, she was introduced to Kangxi, probably because Chen was beautiful and virtuous, and such a woman was easy to attract people's attention in the harem.

Of course, it is important to be able to successfully gain the favor of the emperor, and more importantly, to give birth to a man and a half woman to the emperor, preferably a prince, which is the foundation of the concubine's foothold in the harem.

It is clear that Chen is a lucky woman.

On the second day of March in the 36th year of the Kangxi Dynasty, Chen gave birth to the seventeenth son of the Emperor and named him Yin Li.

Although the Chen clan gave birth to the Prince of the Qing Dynasty, due to its low birth and imperfect harem system, the Chen clan did not receive an official canonization for a long time.

Until the fifty-seventh year of Kangxi, Kangxi decided to canonize a group of concubines aged 40 to 60 who had given birth to princes, "although they were called concubines, they had not yet been knighted", and Chen's name was on the list of canonizations. In addition to the Qin Concubine Chen clan, the concubines of the Borjigit clan, the concubines Guar Jia, the Cheng concubine Dai Jia clan, the Ding concubine Wan Liu Ha clan and the secret concubine Wang clan were also enthroned this time.

Concubine Book:

"The transformation of the king begins in the court and the ceremony. Female virtue is manifested in admiration and ceremonial rank. Tin is said to be lun. Concubines. ShōlChen. Dream of the aromatic type. Jiuxiang Neizhi. Serve with due diligence and work hard at night. Be cautious and stubborn, and slack off year after year. He is made a concubine. Erqi Mi Zhao Yi Fan and Qing Yao Yanfu Jinzhi. Yi Mao Chenglao, Enchang inherited from Yu Mo. ”

Solid for the country of the Great Qing Prince

In the Kangxi Dynasty, concubines did not have the opportunity to raise their own crown princesses, and the Kangxi Emperor would generally give these princesses and empresses to other concubines to raise, and would also give them to the concubines of the former emperor to raise, and the same was true for Yin Li. Soon after Yin Li was born, he was sent to Ningshou Palace and raised by Concubine Shuhui.

Note: After Yin Li was crowned Prince of Guo, he would be ordered to visit Xiao Dongling on the Middle Yuan Festival and weep in front of the tomb of Concubine Shuhui to make up for the hatred of not being able to raise it.

It is said that Yin Li studied under Shen Deqian when he was a child, had an open-minded attitude, indulged in landscapes and rivers in his early years, did not participate in party struggles, and was smart and heavy.0 Moreover, Yin Li concentrated on calligraphy and poetry, and studied some Buddhist texts, which is quite similar to the fourth son of the emperor at that time, Yin Chan (Yongzheng Emperor), and it was this open-mindedness that enabled Yin Li to receive the grace of three generations of emperors.

The first is Kangxi, yin li began to follow Kangxi at the age of nine, although until Kangxi's death was not knighted, but also quite popular with Kangxi.

In the first year of Yongzheng, the Yongzheng Emperor issued an edict: "Jingling is very well decorated, and the Seventeen Brothers, Sun Zhaoqi, and Sarna are very dedicated and respectful. Seventeen Kings of the Agofon County. ”

After Yongzheng succeeded to the throne, he paid special attention to three brothers, the first was YinXiang the Prince of Yi, the second was Yinlu the Prince of Zhuang, and the third was Yin Li, who was crowned the King of Guojun.

Of course, Yin Li's identity is indeed special, in addition to the identity of Yongzheng's younger brother, he is also the cousin of the Yongzheng Emperor.

Yin Li's concubine Fujin was the daughter of Duke Guoyi and the minister of the interior of the imperial guard, Nu Hulu . As we mentioned earlier, As the uncle of the fourth son of the Emperor Yin Chan (Yongzheng Emperor) (Note: Aling Ah's wife was Empress Xiao Gongren's sister Wu Yashi), but he was a member of the Eight Ye Party, and Ah Ling'a had spread bad remarks about the prince during the Kangxi First Emperor's abolition of the crown prince, making people mistakenly think that he was instructed by Yin Chan, and Yin Chan really hated this uncle.

Aling'a had been the teacher of the Seventeenth Brother Yinli, and perhaps it was precisely because of this teacher-student friendship that Kangxi pointed out the daughter of Aling'a to Yinli. Of course, this Aling'a family is not an ordinary family, he is the younger son of the auxiliary minister Shu Bilong, but he is from the Yellow Banner Niu Hulu clan, which is the Xun noble family known as the "Fengchao Family".

Logically, Yin Li was the son-in-law of Yongzheng's "sinner" Ah Ling'a, and should not be reused. But it has to be said that Yongzheng was an emperor with clear love and hatred, or the old Cheng's heavy Yin Li bet on the right bet, he instead got the weight of the imperial brother Yongzheng, and he was even crowned as the Prince of Guo in the sixth year of Yongzheng.

In the eighth year of Yongzheng, Yin Xiang, the Prince of Heshuoyi, died, and then Yin Li was ordered to take charge of the Three Treasuries of the Hubu, and in the eleventh year of Yongzheng, Yin Li was in charge of the Zongren Mansion, and before Yongzheng died, he also ordered him and Yin Lu the Prince of Zhuang to assist his son Qianlong.

Yongzheng once commented that Yin Li was "solid for the country", "dedicated to his efforts", and "his integrity was also very clean", and it can be seen that the style of the Prince of the Great Qing Dynasty is indeed in line with the Yongzheng Emperor's governing philosophy.

After Qianlong succeeded to the throne, Yin Li became the prime minister of affairs, and together with Yin Lu, the prince of Zhuang, he ate the prince's double hand, and exempted the temple from summoning the kneeling ceremony. However, this Yin Li's physical condition was worrying, and around November of the first year of Qianlong,000, he suffered from a foot disease and had difficulty moving. In February of the third year of Qianlong, Yin Li the Prince of Guo died at the age of 42.

Qianlong also attached great importance to this, and specially sent the eldest brother Yong Huang to wear filial piety, ordering a sacrifice once, and was buried in The Village of Shangyue in Yizhou.

It is worth mentioning that in addition to the Concubine Fujin NiuHulu clan, Yin Li has only one side Fu Jin Mengshi, this side Fujin once gave birth to a son and a daughter to Yin Li, but none of them survived, and the Concubine Fujin Niu Hulu clan was still infertile, so after Yin Li died, he faced the situation of no heir. To this end, Qianlong ordered his younger brother Hongyao to succeed to the title of King of Guojun, which can be regarded as inheriting the incense of Yin Li's vein.

He was favored by three generations of emperors

After Yongzheng succeeded to the throne, because of the heavy use of Chen's son Yinli, Chen's family was also treated kindly, and she was honored by Yongzheng as the imperial concubine. After Qianlong succeeded to the throne, the Chen clan was once again honored and was given the title of Imperial Ancestor Chun Yuqin's Concubine.

In addition, Qianlong also ordered the descendants of Princess Chunyuqin to pull out their robes and make up a shiguan zuo collar, which was managed by Chen's nephew Chen Hao. As a result, the Chen family was carried by the Ministry of Internal Affairs into the Manchurian yellow flag at the head of the Three Banners.

It is said that Kangxi once had a will that the princes could take their elderly mothers to the palace for support, such as Concubine Hui, Concubine Yi, And Concubine Ding, etc. after Kangxi's death, they came to live in their sons' palaces. Inspired by this, Yin Li also requested Qianlong to take his mother Chen shi to live in the palace after Yongzheng's death, but Qianlong refused. However, Qianlong promised that on every festival such as the winter solstice of the Waxing Moon, the Chen clan could go to yinli mansion to stay for a while.

On December 20, 18th year of Qianlong, Princess Qin died of illness in the palace, and Qianlong also attached great importance to this, and even Kou picked up the wei, sacrificed wine, and made Chen a pure Yu Qin concubine.

On April 13, 19999, there was a Manchu recital entitled "Playing Two Pieces of The Golden Coffin of the Princess Gulun to send the Minister of Internal Affairs to the Ministry of Internal Affairs", according to which it can be inferred that in the early years of Qianlong, Princess Gulun and Jing had been raised by Princess Qin of Ningshou Palace. Princess Gulun and Jing were born to Empress Xiaoxian and were the only adult princesses in Qianlong.

Zichen said:

Princess Chunyu Qinfei of the Chen clan came from a humble origin, but was favored by the Kangxi Emperor, and even more fortunately, she gave birth to the crown prince Yinli and became one of Kangxi's favorite Han concubines. It is for this reason that the Chen clan has been favored by three generations of emperors and has obtained a happy ending, which can be evaluated in one sentence: sometimes there must be a fate, and there is no time to demand it in fate.
